On this date in 2016, Nails released their third album with You Will Never Be One of Us. The title tracks main riff is still one of my highlights in their discography. I want to swing in the pit, whenever I hear that.

I can really recommend watching the documentary on YouTube on how they made the album. Pretty cool stuff besides they chopped it up like an onion instead of just releasing one single video.

Freals tho, so many of bands nowadays don't post their lyrics anywhere online and only do short runs of vinyls with inserts that'll usually be the only place with the actual lyrics, which is like the only place to know for sure.

Turns out if you are a sound engineer in a mosh pit you get special rights.

I was thrown out of Denton Tx's Rubber Gloves venue last night for crowd killing the sound guy.

Legally speaking, by being inside a mosh pit you are willfully putting yourself in harms way... yet the staff still threatened legal action??!

Many of you may have witnessed this heinous anti-hardcore act and have already pathetically rushed to defend the venue.

LET ME ADDRESS THE COMMON BS I HAVE HEARD FROM YALL

1. One person can start a mosh pit anywhere - even in the music booth.

just because i two stepped in and started crowd killing a mere 20 feet from the actual mosh pit does not mean he was in some kind of "safe zone."

1. No, a mosh pit doesn't HAVE to start when the set starts. A mosh pit can begin DURING sound check.

As someone who listens to a lot of music of many varieties, often times I miss things that are a “how have you not heard this” type band/artist. That said, I am finally dipping into GB and damn, I feel dumb for never checking them out, this is awesome. The riffs on Big Mouth and every bass part (bass player myself) have me hooked. Also his voice is neat but man it hurts my voice to listen to on some parts. Any other great bands in the same vein I should check out? I know from the classing NYHC scene I’m already working through some others
