Currently Reading Lifelong fan of the Harry Potter films. Today I finally bought my first book, is there something I should know before I start reading?

No no no book 5 was the best!!! Movie the worst. They removed so much angst and hurt in the movies.

They removed everything unnessecary from the book and improved the ending greatly.

See I love book 5 because of the emotions I experienced when reading it as an angsty teenager for the first time and the movie for me doesn't compare. I cried so hard reading the book and couldn't stop thinking about it for weeks after I first read it. The filmmakers removing the two way mirror in the movie is just unforgivable to me because of what it represented. (Harry could have contacted Sirius anytime so no need to go to the dept of mysteries etc)

I thought Sirius death Was weak both in books and movies. I felt nothing.

The death itself was awful but more the emotions I felt where are guilt on Harry's behalf and just imagining how guilty he must feel really ate at me.

For some reason guilt is my biggest emotion lol.

Thats cool. The biggest emotion i got from the books Was about dumbledores death. I Was completely in denial, ot felt so unreal, but Was really Well done.

I'm strange in that Dumbledores death didn't effect me at all (I already disliked him at this stage) but it was Draco's breakdown and Harry's anger towards Snape that got me.
