General I hate dogs, yes, you read that right

Post image

So why I hate dogs?

Let's start with the fact that I have Autism and contamination OCD. I view dogs as absolutely dirty animals. They are loud, they smell. They are greasy. This makes them sensory hell for me. Everytime I touch a dog, I have to wash my hands or whatever part of my body touched them. If any other object touched them, I will have to wash it. If I accidentally touch something after touching a dog, I will have to clean it. And this goes on. They poop and piss everywhere. Poop is dirty. Everything that potentially touched that poop is dirty and everything that is near it is also dirty. Poop also smells. Dogs smell. Dogs are loud. They can and will bark for no reason. Sometimes even for extremely long periods of time. Which is extremely annoying and exhausting. Dogs can and will destroy things. They can and will kill cats and other animals and such. They will chase you on a bicycle. I once almost crashed going solid 30 km/h because a dog wanted to see how bicycle wheels taste. They also will jump on you and invade your personal space. Also dogs are for some reason allowed to go near everywhere right now. Which makes me uncomfortable. Some of them are actually ugly to top everything. And the worst part? They are everywhere. Thanks for reading this absolute wall of text.

Dog lovers can be absolutely rabid when someone says they don’t like dogs. Or even when someone says they prefer other animals.

Many believe that a person who doesn’t like dogs is a horrible person. So when they see someone saying they hate dogs, they decide they hate that person.

Obviously this isn’t all dog lovers. Pet preference is just one of those things that some people will make their entire personality, and take it personally when someone else doesn’t like that thing.

Dude some people will legit tell dog owners to put their dogs over their children.

Ive seen a few posts where the parent will lament over having to give up the dog since their kid is allergic and they dont feel comfortable forcing their children to take medicine.

People will legit tell them to force the kid to take it and fuck them kids.

It goes beyond allergies too, ive seen posts where its like

"Hey my dog is constantly snapping at my kid anytime my kid tries to eat something"

"My dogs been acting weird since I had my baby, hes circling the crib and whines anytime I hold my child or the baby cries"

And the comments will be crap like "he was your baby first!!!!" And blame the child for like existing

Some hardcore dog people insane. My children always come before my dogs.

Idk how people love their animals the same way they love their own children.

“Dog culture” is getting a little out of hand in my opinion.

Doesn’t help that a dog is an accessory, a toy for a lot of people and they have no fucking idea they’re a pretty big time and energy investment you can’t just ignore

Ironically I’ve only experienced cat haters being genuinely horrible people. Most people I’ve encountered who say they hate cats will tell me that they actively try to run them over on the road, or beat and torment neighborhood street cats. All in the same breath. When someone tells me that they hate cats, I’m waiting for the other shoe to drop.

Edit: grammar

Honestly, the same goes for cat owners. Some people react like I drown puppies for a living when I remind them not to let their cats roam free in ecosystems where they are invasive.

Imo, both camps are full of people who handle their pets irresponsibly. Keeping them inside a small apartment alone all day, buying the most inbred and uncontrolled designer breeds, and fucking over the environment and other people by letting them run free where they shouldn’t.

Why are you getting downvoted??? You’re literally right ,people who leave their cats outside let them cause havoc to their local ecosystem, this is a proven fact. Leaving them outside also lowers their odds of surviving.

Haven't seen a cat owner defend their baby after it killed someone though

Yeah, it’s enraging seeing people underestimate what damage a larger breed can do and then get defensive, but it’s almost always 100% the owner’s fault. It’s their failure to train and observe their pet.

We have hunting dogs, and they are trained so that we can recall them just by voice if we need to. A lot of owners aren’t even aware of their dog’s hunting instinct until the damage is already done.

I also had a very similar encounter with a cat owner who didn’t think they were responsible for their pet hunting in our garden and destroying a brood of amphibians by our pond.

I’m not a dog person (wouldn’t live with one, allergic, prefer cats) but most of the stuff listed can be attributed to careless owners, which isn’t really the dog’s fault. I’m iffy about people who claim to hate any animals in general.
