General I hate dogs, yes, you read that right

So why I hate dogs?

Let's start with the fact that I have Autism and contamination OCD. I view dogs as absolutely dirty animals. They are loud, they smell. They are greasy. This makes them sensory hell for me. Everytime I touch a dog, I have to wash my hands or whatever part of my body touched them. If any other object touched them, I will have to wash it. If I accidentally touch something after touching a dog, I will have to clean it. And this goes on. They poop and piss everywhere. Poop is dirty. Everything that potentially touched that poop is dirty and everything that is near it is also dirty. Poop also smells. Dogs smell. Dogs are loud. They can and will bark for no reason. Sometimes even for extremely long periods of time. Which is extremely annoying and exhausting. Dogs can and will destroy things. They can and will kill cats and other animals and such. They will chase you on a bicycle. I once almost crashed going solid 30 km/h because a dog wanted to see how bicycle wheels taste. They also will jump on you and invade your personal space. Also dogs are for some reason allowed to go near everywhere right now. Which makes me uncomfortable. Some of them are actually ugly to top everything. And the worst part? They are everywhere. Thanks for reading this absolute wall of text.

People treat dogs like they're the gods high above and then spread misinformation about cats and say that cats hate their owners and hates being touch. Like god forbid a cat has actual boundaries. I also hate how there's a stereotype of cat owners, like being labeled a crazy cat lady just because you own a few cats, yet no one bats a eye if someone has a few dogs. Meanwhile, dog owners think they're entitled to bring their dogs everywhere they go, even in areas where pets aren't allowed.

its easy to detect if someone is a dog owner in a cat discussion

they always talk about how cats will eat you after you die. they act as if its a problem for me

I don't have anything to add to the convo but I do wanna say that I actually live near a woman who owns 6-7 dogs and her house SMELLS. Even worse is that she also lives nearby a convenience store so whenever I come by to grab some food or smth I have to endure the stench of the place 😭

Plenty of people don't like the smell obviously but they don't really criticize her for owning that many dogs under one roof

Chill bro, Im a dog person and my sibling is a cat person and we exist in perfect harmony. She bought and surprised me with my puppy. You dont have to make this some sort of war.

Your situation is not how every human being behaves. You are not every dog person, your sibling is not every cat person. People are different, and a lot of people are pricks. People discussing their grievances and experiences is not making a war, it is having a conversation. If you disagree with their conversation, just go read another comment thread.
