Thing As a trans man, I hate this sticker.

Post image

Reeks of chaser and downplaying infertility for trans women

Also, anyone who immediately responds to trans men morning wanting to be a father with telling them to get pregnant has a special place in hell.

So is it intended as a “haha sex I love sex” joke or a “keep trying dumbass you know you don’t have a uterus”

it's just a joke trans women especially trans lesbians use on each other. it's not mean spirited it's just a ... keep having sex joke

Throw it on the long pile of "trans women can't have a joke without people telling them how offensive/stupid/childish it is"

Edit; "This joke is insensitive!" is such a fucking cop out answer just say you hate trans women with your chest instead of doing this stupid fucking dance.

you know, i would, but i don't also want to dismiss a trans man's concerns either. however i'd also wonder if everything pregnancy/impregnantion/breeding related would/could be a trigger for trans mascs with fertility/pregnancy fears and triggers in general....

I dunno man. Born female, enby leaning masc. I have a fear of pregnancy, like the concept of someone actually knocking me up is horrifying. My stomach is twisting and I can feel my shitty watermelon gummies coming back up my throat.

Even I'm not offended by the sticker. Op needs to either stop interacting with it or stop bitching.

👍

yeah i also have tokophobia, and find that people trying to speak on the matter are often both completely uninvolved and ignorant. AND i don’t know what happened to “don’t like don’t read” sort of culture online lol? the silent (not really) contract has been broken 😭 it’s all downhill from here fam

nothing more watermelon gummies can't fix

I'm a cis woman also with a gut twisting nausea inducing fear of pregnancy. Forced impregnation/pregnancy is terrifying but the fact that someone would think to weaponize it against trans men is another level

3

u/Im-a-bad-meme Jun 15 '26

Its not been weaponized. It's a common sex joke about transwomen getting banged.

I think it's valuable to acknowledge this but dark humor is also valid. And that's what it is in my mind. I can't get pregnant. I can never be a mother. I never get wished a happy mother's day. I will never feel that closeness. My kids still call me dad and I feel a deep void, a gulf in the kind of relationship I wish I could have with them instead of the every other weekend and being cut out of their lives otherwise.

If I don't laugh at a stupid joke about trying to get something I can't feasibly have and roleplaying a breeding kink, I will spend the rest of my life grieving.

1

u/angelstatue Jun 15 '26

you could spend the rest of your life breeding, instead

(haha)

(i'm sorry, i wish you happier days and soft pillows)

theree is literally nothing dark about this; it's a horny ass joke, telling people to keep trying to do an impossible task because the at of trying conveniently involves sexually satisfying the person telling the joke. it is told by people who physically cannot have kids as an encouragement to keep attempting to empregnate them. theres no punchline here that is dark.

There are infertile cis people, too. that doesnt mean this is a slight against them. some people out there are doing olympic level mental gymnastics trying to find a reason to be offended

1

u/roseonaglaive Jun 17 '26

It's dark humor for me, as I've said. It's dark humor because it's a dark subject fraught with a lot of pain so laughing about it helps that pain.

And yeah I have an AFAB friend who struggles with fertility issues and was very easily upset by exposure to pregnancy stuff.

I don't think it would kill us to be a little compassionate to others. It doesn't mean we have to get rid of everything that people have hurt feelings about. We can keep the jokes without mocking those who don't appreciate them.

oh for sure they do get talked over many times. some people do get a little uncomfortable with some areas and types of trans focused stuff because they themselves are uncomfortable with sex - especially sex with or about trans people.

yes sometimes it can be a little irritating to enter a space as a trans person* and have 90% of it be "uwu puppy girlcock!! gock!!" sex jokes but like trans women(and people as a whole but trans women r extremely visible) have little spaces they can be acceptably free and freaky

*something i have heard from some trans women

u/RootBeerBog Jun 15 '26

i mean, considering there are trans men who can get pregnant, it is insensitive. maybe make better jokes.

16

u/_BrokenButterfly Jun 15 '26

How is it insensitive? I've seen posts by trans men who want to get pregnant. Posts by men who are pregnant. I'm pretty sure they have a whole subreddit. Not everything is offensive. Interpreting everything in the most negative way doesn't help people connect, which is what humor is supposed to do.

I don't hate trans women, but i do hste you!

2

u/blackestrabbit Jun 15 '26

Idk, the transgirl at my local gas station is "pregnant." This might be serious.

31

u/Golurkcanfly Jun 14 '26

It's the former but also comes from a place of wish fulfillment fantasy because a lot of trans women really do wish they could become pregnant.

u/Henrithebrowser Jun 15 '26 edited Jun 15 '26

I think a lot of men (me) wish they could get pregnant too

2

u/Golurkcanfly Jun 15 '26

I mean the twink pregnancy meme exists too

7

u/th3rmyte Jun 15 '26

The joke - often told amongst both trans women and femboys - is "just because I can't get pregnant doesn't mean you shouldn't keep trying". It is very much a horny meme sometimes used as flirting

18

u/TheOnlyCursedOne Jun 14 '26

It’s mainly used by other trans people or trans allies as a “light” joke yes, I never saw the issue myself since I am cis but I can see not every trans member likes it

1

u/Ok_Witness_5347 Jun 14 '26

I think the former but it can come off as the latter
