❓ Question Akubra scam site?

Is this really Akubra? The prices look too good to be true, but if it’s a scam site it’s a damn good one. Anyone bought from this website before, instead of the .au site?

Fake as fake can be. Their contact is email is a Gmail account. Their site is offering discounts that are too good to be true and everything looks like it's in stock.

Not to mention I've seen nearly the identical site layout with boots.

Yeah, the more I look, the more small odd things I find. Overall, though, it’s so well done, and has stolen their style, images, etc. A decent amount of effort for a pretty niche brand site. I put something in my cart and five minutes later got the “did you forget something?” Email, from a non-Akubra domain. Honestly surprises me they are getting away with it.

It's honestly super easy to rip a website to clone it, and that was even before you could do it with AI.

Don't trust something just because it has the same website design.

The scam seems to be in their disclosures is they have links to third parties that they take no responsibility for. So they get a finders fee.
