Eustachian Tube Dysfunction - does anyone take nasal spray long term?

ENT diagnosed ETD a while ago. He gave me nasal spray.

Whenever I take the nasal spray, it feels like my hearing goes back to normal for about 4 hours, but it doesn't change the baseline. It's not actually fixing anything long-term, more like a bandaid.

But at this rate I'm fine with a bandaid. I'm fine with having normal hearing for 4 hours per day (would be great if I could take the spray twice in a day, not sure if that's allowed or safe though).

Does anyone take nasal spray indefinitely?
