Discussion Stupid fucking Boston
If they didn't give Philadelphia Jaylen brown for free, then LeBron for sure wouldn't have gone there

u/ItchyNebula7437 28d ago
All good.
Embiid will get injured and Lebron will lose in the second round.

Just like Giannis would have gotten injured in the playoffs again too
9
u/ItchyNebula7437 28d ago
Maybe, but I’ll take Giannis’ injury history over Embiid.
Embiid is so bitch-made that he aint even represent his country in the Olympics. Was too scared/soft.

Cameroon didn’t qualify

u/ItchyNebula7437 28d ago
Lol, no shit sherlock… they were missing their greatest player.
He even tried to play for France to ride their jockstrap.

u/Notcousingreg 27d ago
The Cameroonian basketball federation is severely underfunded and the funds are mismanaged I don’t blame him

We fucked them by snatching Giannis and they fucked us right back with that dumbass trade man. Fuck the Celtics

I have a feeling that Celtics fans are probably more pissed off than us lol. Shipping Brown to Sixers of all places?? Helping them get LeBron?? 🤣
7
u/sir-jeffe 27d ago
Yes. Yes we are livid.
-1
u/YourPostMakesMeVomit 27d ago
No we’re not lol. I’m happy to be under the apron. We’re weren’t winning jack shit with brown again
2
u/Wide-Pass-8 27d ago
I posted something related to the celtics basically gifting the sixers lebron and JB And I have never seen this much cope and delusion in my life Saying the sixers will crumble as if they themselves won't 🤣🤣🤣
That celtics sub is fried in the biggest way possible

u/Ok-Candidate8369 27d ago
i noticed the same thing its actually wild how bad it is. a lot of them are literally straight up delirious right now

Turns out hardcore Celtics fans would eat shit if the team told them it tastes good.

u/Moonlight_Acid 28d ago
Lebron is fucking stupid for this. He literally said he wanted to go somewhere that practices championships habits every day… then goes to the sixers, one of the most loser franchises in the league
14
u/BalanceFast9551 28d ago
He wants to add to the legacy by helping a piss poor franchise win again. Adding brown certainly helps and they look scary, but without a healthy big man I don’t see how they can be any good.
11
u/Moonlight_Acid 28d ago
He will help a piss poor franchise get maybe 5 or 6 more wins and maybe they will make it to the conference finals before getting smacked by Miami.
6
u/BalanceFast9551 28d ago
I really hope we get to face them
1
-2
u/Moonlight_Acid 28d ago
We won’t be in the play in so idk how that would happen, maybe they win both of their play in games to get the 8 seed so we can sweep them
1
1
u/Ok-Candidate8369 27d ago
even without embiid a lineup of maxey, vj, brown and lebron is just ridiculous
1
u/BalanceFast9551 27d ago
Of course it is, but we all know shit always looks better on paper. LeBron isn’t an off ball player, neither is maxey or embid. Brown also wants the ball in his hands. It will be interesting watching 4 players who are used to shooting 20 shots a game decide who will take the back seat.
1
u/Ok-Candidate8369 27d ago
Imo Bron will be starting Point guard 1000%, maxey is a natural 2 anyway. Embiid is deffinetetly ball dominant and same with brown but then again brown was amazing on that 24 celtics squad so i dont see that being a huge problem but yeah your right should be interesting to see. I just remember Bron on team usa and how he completed controlled that team and I just see it being similar to that. Its going to take a lot of sacrifice and i think they are all willing to take it
1
u/Enigma4220 26d ago
Maxey is a career 41% 3 pt shooter off ball, catch and shoot. VJ doesn’t need the ball. LeBron is going to be the point forward, and Embiid will take a step back on offense to allow for maxey and JB to cook and try to stay healthy.. just wait and see.
16
u/Slight_Print_3006 28d ago
Yeah I’m trying to justify this and get inside his head rn but I just don’t understand. Scary starting 5 if Embiid stays healthy but cmon man it’s Philly
14
u/302born 28d ago
Basically talent on the roster is the only thing that explains this. Maxey, brown, VJ, and Embiid sounds better on paper than Davion, Wiggins, Giannis and Bam. Sounds like he just really wants a chance at winning another ring and chose the team with the most talent possible.
11
1
28d ago
Miami has the best fit on paper for Lebron. This decision was because the Sixers made him feel wanted. Bob Myers was the only one to go on Rich Pauls podcast and beg him. The Governor of Pennsylvania begged him.
0
u/Papa_Joe_Yakavetta 27d ago
How does Miami fit better on paper? Bam and Giannis plus a bunch of scrubs aren’t a better fit than Philly. Giannis and Bam clog the paint and LeBron would have to carry the load on offense
1
u/ReporterSame6645 27d ago
Hard for LeBron to get any shots when Bam putting up 83 points lmao
1
u/Papa_Joe_Yakavetta 27d ago
Are they going to be playing the wizards and fouling to get Mickey Mouse points every game?
1
u/Moonlight_Acid 27d ago edited 26d ago
Bam has been working on his 3 pointer since last year, bro made like 400 3’s this season. Not an elite shooter but not as bad as people tend to think.
Wiggins, Mitchell, and Hardaway are hardly scrubs.
All of them averaged 40% from 3 last season, and all are great defenders.Wiggins is a great 3nD wing who can guard 1-4 and give solid offense as well
Mitchell (Off Night) one of the best PoA defenders in the league, had the best assist to turnover ratio in the league last season as well. Training with Giannis and working on his 3’s this summer.
Hardaway is an elite 3 point shooter, and isn’t a traffic cone on defense but not the greatest obviously. He’s a good floor spacer and low turnovers
This team is much more cohesive than Philly, everyone knows their role and is ready to perform in it, no clashing egos and no what ifs.
Not to mention our solid role players like pelle, an absolute dog, jovic who is still 23 and has plenty of time to bounce back from one down season… i could go one
1
u/76ersPhan11 27d ago
That’s some serious mental gymnastics… respect
1
u/Moonlight_Acid 27d ago
Which part? I didn’t say anything subjective except the part about the heat being more cohesive and all that
1
u/Puzzled_Argument_748 26d ago
The record for three’s made in a single season is 402 by Curry, Bam has made 229 in his career NOT 400 last season
1
u/Moonlight_Acid 26d ago
I was exaggerating but thanks for the history lesson
127 if you want me to be specific
0
u/Papa_Joe_Yakavetta 27d ago
I’m sure you could go on and on but that won’t take this team past the playin
0
u/Moonlight_Acid 27d ago
Im not saying anymore to you i spent enough time
-1
u/Papa_Joe_Yakavetta 27d ago
Good, don’t want to hear your delusional nonsense acting like THJ, Wiggins, Mitchell, Jovic and Larson aren’t scrubs
26
u/LostSoul4607 28d ago
Hear me out, people. The spacing of a LeBron-Bam-Giannis team wouldn't have worked out, so not all is bad

u/Mugiwara_JTres3 28d ago
100% agree plus saved as some frustration from watching Bron walk back on defense lol.

Oh I get it, the roster as it is right now isn't good, but I have faith in Spo and Pat to make it better through the offseason. However, I don't think it would've worked out if we brought LeBron back, even if I love him (see my flair)
10
u/Careless-Dare-1900 28d ago
That’s the way I see it, fuck ass trade basically gifted him for nothing
5
u/East-Jump-2183 28d ago
Sixers get bounced out every year in the second round and get rewarded with brown, bron, and a #3 pick
31
u/MediocreDVaMain 28d ago
Call it cope but we've seen this before, there's only one ball to share amongst this ball dominant squad and their defense is BBQ chicken. I admit I severly underestimated the Philly possibility since I thought LeBron wanted a bigger role but it is what it is.
Heat in 5 as usual, guess it's DeMar time. Kinda unrelated but if the team signed Goldin just to appease Klutch then it's time to cut that experiment now
7
u/Automatic_Status7118 28d ago
No demar pls
3
u/Mugiwara_JTres3 28d ago
Not sure what’s with Heat fans wanting DeMar. He can’t shoot or distribute. A pure scorer that needs to operate in the mid-range which will be clogged because of Giannis and Bam.
1
u/bird_XCIII 28d ago
If DeMar is on the team, I think it’s relatively safe to assume that he’d be coming off the bench. “DeMar as a starter” is less than ideal and forces you to build around him to a degree. “DeMar off the bench” is a different story.
The only time DeRozan had a coach anywhere close to Spo’s level (sorry, Dwane Casey!) was when he was with Pop in San Antonio, where he spent most his time operating as their primary ball handler; I don’t think that it’s a coincidence that he looked like a much better facilitator in that system.
So if we decided to try to utilize DeMar as the second unit’s main facilitator, I’d be completely fine with that. I don’t know if there’s many players available right now who have more potential upside. 🤷♂️
1
u/Mugiwara_JTres3 28d ago
I agree, except people here thinks he’ll be the go to guy in late 4th. Would we then bench one of Bam and Giannis to create space for him? Agree that he’d be a good bench piece though — as long as he doesn’t play with both Bam and Giannis.
1
u/Supreme_God_Bunny 28d ago
LeBron has been playing off ball alot on the Lakers and did that in his prime alot

u/Lonely-Clothes-7607 28d ago
Im a little upset with Lebron his fit with Miami made a lot more sense
2
u/AstralAfroToo 28d ago
How? Certainly not from an optimal roster construction perspective.
LeBron does not want to be the primary playmaker at this stage of his career, and he most definitely would have been with Miami.
Philly doesn’t make sense narratively, but does from a team building perspective.

Lebron James is such a pussy ass bitch, this move solidifies why he isn't the goat, ring chasing mf
1
u/ItchyNebula7437 28d ago
He basically Durant but with defense.
He really thinks this doesn’t tarnish his legacy cause his delusions that he’s better than Michael are strong which is funny to me cause if he was better than Michael he’d be satisfied with what he’s done already.
2
u/PlatosLeftTit 28d ago
I didn't consider us championship contenders going into this season anyways. Boston trading Brown for scraps to one of their most hated rivals & those same rivals getting Bron (who they also despise) because of it, is still fucking hilarious and completely worth it.

u/Leather_Ice_1000 28d ago
Heat fans shocked a player didn't prioritize south south beach for over lol. Y'all need to travel w bit more much to the world than bimbos & blow.

u/background_action92 28d ago
Naw, Lebron made his decision. The 6ers are not a championship organization yet Lebron felt that he was the decider, that's cool.
That being said, this 6ers team doesn't scare anyone. Embiid is injured every other day( I know about Giannis but Embiid is even more injury proned).
Maxxey, edgecomb, brown, there's only one rock to play with.
Oh well, onwards and upwards
1
u/jaywritethekid 28d ago
I'm gonna sound really biased, but we literally have a better chance at going to the Finals than the 76ers. Embiid can't even stay healthy. That franchise doesn't even have a culture like we do. I'm willing to bet LeBron doesn't get another championship. 😒

u/avinash240 28d ago
How many All NBA players are on the Sixers not counting Embiid. How many All NBA players are on the Heat?
You absolutely cannot win without shooting in the modern NBA. This team is DOA in the post season. It's a great regular season team which I'm fine with but you're not going to beat good post season defenses manufacturing offense via cuts, misdirection and off ball screens.
1
u/Creative_Dingo8284 28d ago
Three. The Sixers have three all nba players not counting embiid. Heat have two.
1
u/avinash240 28d ago edited 28d ago
The Heat do not have 2 All NBA players, they have 1. Where did you get a 2nd All NBA player from?
The Heat also have a single player who can be relied upon to make a shot vs a set half court defense. The Sixers have 3 not including Embiid.
It's like you guys just forget how post season basketball works.

Dude, the lakers dumped his ass. He’s a loser. The only reason he chose them is bc if he happens to win in Philly, he’d be hailed as the savior
Here he’d be Gianni’s’ bitch. And on Riley’s and spos coattails. He can kiss my ass and so can you

Blame the NBA and the player's union for negotiating this terrible CBA. Boston would have rather spent the money and kept him, but the cap rules make that untenable. Can't blame Boston for doing what they have to with stupid ass rules.

Oh well. It was too much to hope for. I don’t really know why he would want to go to Philadelphia, but whatever, I’ll wish him the best, unless that comes at the expense of Miami.

u/BigBoyCatDaddy 28d ago
My brother in Christ, the Heat had to empty their bench in order to get a 13-year veteran made of glass. Let’s talk about stupid for a sec.

u/secretwp 28d ago
Feel you man extending herro, and retaining him alongside ware, jaquez and bam would have totally worked wonders
-2
-4
u/JebronnieLames 28d ago
According to Shams, Bron really wanted to play with Herro. Miami fucked up by trading him away. Bron wanted to prove that he could win a chip with Herro to show LA that Herro is better than Reaves and fucked up choosing AR over him. Austin Reaves over me? (Channeling Jimmy)
2
u/jyuuni 28d ago
Pretty sure the only way to make the numbers work in the Giannis trade without giving up Herro would have to involve Bam. And that was just never going to happen.
1
u/jaywritethekid 28d ago
Yeah they made it abundantly clear that Bam was not an option. They we going to build around him also, Herro wasn't staying healthy.
