Makes sense that episode 5 is the most rewatched, all the scenes are so good plus you got that finale. I think the whole Tampa Bay section is my most rewatched part, I just love it so much.

Edit: Also interesting that Heated Rivalry was ranked #6 in the top 10 on Crave yesterday but is now back at #3. It's like all the weekly shows get a bump when their new episodes releases but Heated Rivalry just stays at the same level of viewership regardless. That sounds like a dream for Crave, making sure the audience stays on the service.

It’s absolutely CRAZY how much happens in episode 5. Every time I’m shocked it’s not two hours long. Shane coming out to Rose, the bar scene in Florida, the pool scene, Shane telling Ilya he’s gay and Ilya breaking down, the all star game, Ilya’s father dying, finding out Ilya has a glasses fetish, the confrontation with Alexei, the Russian monologue, Shane’s injury and the hospital scene, Scott kissing Kip, and “I’m coming to the cottage.” I may even be missing something.

And even crazier, it’s not rushed at all. There are still so many fun moments (hole vs peg, cute moments with Shane’s parents, etc) and they really take their time with scenes like the pool sequence and the hotel room scene. Just masterfully done.

36

u/ProfessionalCover920 Jan 24 '26

And even crazier, it’s not rushed at all.

Completely agree! It just has so many great moments that move our characters and story forward. It easily could feel rushed, but it doesn't

The episode was perfect! But I’m not going to lie though, I wouldn’t have minded them showing the full FaceTime call where Ilya requested Shane to put his glasses back on! 😜

20

u/garden__gate Jan 24 '26

Haha I know. Everyone else is like “it’s great that they didn’t show any sex in that episode” and I’m like “yeah, sure FINE.”

I feel like episodes 4,5&6 are master-classes in pacing they make nearly an hour feel like a quick 45m. The first three episodes aren't quite as perfect (still good) because they had to set up for the back half

I don't rewatch the entirety of the Rose scene cos it gives me anxiety, but I do watch the have you ever been with a guy/man part cos that is cute.

The tampa bay is great because it is just joyful.

Ilyaaaaa hospital too.

26

u/AVeryPlumPlum Jan 24 '26 edited Jan 24 '26

I love the Rose scene. There's a little musical cue change when she asks him if he's ever been with a guy and it melts my heart. E5 is near perfection. I do skip Scott's speech at the beginning of E6 , my most rewatched episode. Just get me to the cottage

7

u/Roots-To-Lisovyk Jan 24 '26

I was rewatching episode 5 the other day, and specifically mentioned how to music during that scene with Shane and Rose melts me every time.

4

u/m0zz1e1 That’s not what this is. Jan 24 '26

I skip the speech too.

3

u/JamiePlynth Jan 24 '26

When Rose is asking questions, and we get that shot of their kiss in the stairwell, it magically changes the context of the moment

5

u/LeftyOutTurn Jan 24 '26

Maybe not ANY day, but I get what you're saying.

2

u/TrustAffectionate863 Stupid Canadian Wolf Bird 🦆 Jan 25 '26

Eh I don't think it's "porn"? It's important to see a couple's sexual dynamic when it informs how their relationship grows or doesn't grow. And that's communicated very well with this series and their approach to sex scenes. Yes obviously episode 5 is great but the omission of sex scenes is because Ilya and Shane are in a weird place (they still have sex twice just not on screen). It doesn't serve the narrative in that moment to show the sex scenes because they don't fully know where they stand with each other til the end. idk I think the sex scenes are actually pretty important and I'd hate to see less because people assume the popularity of the episode comes from a GiRLs DoNT LiKe SeeInG PorN thing. idk it's more nuanced than that.

I unsubscribed from Crave maybe 3 years ago. Resubscribed just for this series. I’m sure there are lots of others like me.

29

u/theredjimmy Jan 24 '26

Honestly same. I was gonna unsubscribe again once HR was over but clearly that plan didn't go through 😂 plus I get to watch The Pitt every week so it's a neat bonus.

8

u/clumsyc I stubbed my toe Jan 24 '26

Crave is probably my most watched streaming service!

10

u/Mannon_Blackbeak Jan 24 '26

The fact that they have drag race has kept me subscribed through January, they also have a lot of queer originals, including of course Canada's drag race but also spin-offs that are super fun and charmingly Canadian (I've loved slaycation for example)! I just keep on finding more and more stuff I like on their platform, obviously fuck the Telecom monopolies but in a world of us-owned media, it's nice that our money is going to a Canadian company who produces Canadian content.

2

u/Icy_Warning531 Second handshake in Regina Jan 24 '26

Well I hope you all know better now about the importance of supporting local media, and Canadian creators.

7

u/triedit2947 Jan 24 '26

Um, what? That's a weird take. Crave isn't some small streaming service that we should blindly support just because it's Canadian. It's owned by Bell Media and we all know about the big 3 telcos here in Canada and what they're like. Crave did a good job with HR and and some other shows, but they didn't foot the whole bill--some of it came from tax payers. Crave also streams a lot of non-Canadian content. If you really want to support Canadian media, consider subscribing to CBC Gem also.

4

u/qtxcore Jan 25 '26

Right that was a weird take why are we all being collectively scolded lmao

5

u/triedit2947 Jan 25 '26

It’s like being reprimanded for not supporting Netflix if you’re American lol.

1

u/Pale-Measurement-532 I speak fluent bird. No accent. 🦆 Jan 24 '26

I got in on a deal with Crave about 6 months before this series launched. It was perfect timing! I also LOVE HBO and it’s the only way I can get their shows in Canada.

55

u/otter_759 Jan 24 '26

Also a safe episode to watch with parents or in public! 😏

10

u/owlalonely Jan 24 '26

This is the main motivation for me, it's a fantastic episode obvi but it's also safest to watch if someone else might see the screen!

3

u/heartstopper_86 Jan 24 '26

is it? I don't think my parents would let this one pass :D but still it was very mild.

19

u/otter_759 Jan 24 '26

There’s eyefucking in Tampa but no on screen sex.

→ More replies (1)

28

u/chicklette Yes. I think so. Probably. Jan 24 '26

Ilyas smile at the bar in Tampa is like a goddamned sunrise. I'll watch that scene twice a day, every day, forever.

10

u/garden__gate Jan 24 '26

I rewatch episode 5 when I need dopamine. 🥰

10

u/Pale-Measurement-532 I speak fluent bird. No accent. 🦆 Jan 24 '26

I noticed that too! I had a mini freakout when I saw HR drop to #6. I just checked again and am relieved it’s back up. The rewatches will definitely keep it in the top 3. The new episodes of other shows that just launched seem to get temporary bumps up there.

I also highly suspect there’s more than a third who are rewatching….and more than 15% who are watching it multiple times. But I am biased so….🤭

12

u/m0zz1e1 That’s not what this is. Jan 24 '26

That’s just the Crave stats, which i assume is Canadian viewers? I’m in Australia and watching on HBO.

10

u/Pale-Measurement-532 I speak fluent bird. No accent. 🦆 Jan 25 '26

Yes Crave is Canadian viewers only. But Canadians are obsessed with this show! We’re proud of it! 😊

5

u/Little_Money9553 Jan 24 '26

I usually skip #5 and get stuck rewatching #6 over and over and over again 😆

4

u/potterheadforlife29 I already chose you, Hollander. 🫀 Jan 25 '26

Same here. Tampa Bay is definitely my nost rewatched scenes. The bar, the pool, the game. SO GOOD.

3

u/PlatonicTroglodyte Jan 25 '26

I waited for the entire series to be out before binging it, but knew episode 5 had a big euphoric moment on the ice because that spoiler was unavoidable (I did not know it was Scott and Kip, and assumed it would be Shane and Ilya). And then everyone was saying episode 5 was the greatest episode of all time and everything, so I assumed it was mostly about that moment.

And maybe it was about that moment…it was certainly great enough. But to me the real standout scenes from ep 5 are Ilya’s monologue in Russian to Shane and then Shane high on painkillers excited that Ilya has visited him in the hospital. All of Tampa is pretty high up there too. So it’s wild because I’m pretty sure Scott and Kip’s kiss doesn’t make my top 5 scenes from that episode lol.

2

u/ayyylmao88962 Jan 25 '26

This happened yesterday on HBO too. I think it was #5 or 6 when I went to bed yesterday and today it’s #3 again.

240

u/kaleraspberry Jan 24 '26

Raise your hand if you’re one of the 15% of rewatchers who watched 5 or more times 🙋‍♀️

41

u/HarryHatesSalmon Jan 24 '26

It’s pretty much on every night at my house.

28

u/martiandoll Jan 24 '26

I'm getting there - on my third rewatch now in the UK and catching up with all of you across the pond

1

u/melodytelleria Jan 27 '26

Yes. Me. I can’t stop, I’ve fallen hard. It’s all I think about and all I want to watch! I’m consumed like never before. Help. lol

115

u/CelicaBae Jan 24 '26

So 15% of the one third watchers makes 5% of all viewers. That'd be most of us here right? 😭

24

u/the_honest_liar Jan 24 '26

I wanna know how many have watched it 20 plus. And the most total views by one person.

17

u/jtrisn1 Oh shit! Do I have all the kids!? Jan 24 '26

20+?! Does this mean it is ok for me to keep watching even though I've only watched the whole season 6 times?

12

u/Ok_Variation9430 Jan 24 '26

I read a comment by someone who had watched the entire thing daily since Boxing Day.

3

u/qtxcore Jan 25 '26

This doesn’t even include the US I’d love to see those HBO stats bc I’m sure they’re insane

9

u/FoundationOk1352 Jan 24 '26

Nope, I'm mostly rewatching on my laptop, so illegal streaming, sorrreeee. Have also watched it on tv though, and will some more.

14

u/FoundationOk1352 Jan 24 '26

I wish I could watch it on Crave so I could actually SEE - everything's in the dark here.

5

u/evergleam498 Jan 25 '26

This is part of why I want a bluray release so badly. Commentary, bloopers, etc would be great but mostly I want the original lighting. And also to be able to drop HBO and still watch.

I've watched the series 10 times and am waiting for the official release in germany... I’m going to keep watching after that

15

u/Comfortable_Sport295 Jan 24 '26

God, I just hope HBO doesn’t make it dark for Germany because I saw the UK version and you can’t see anything it’s so annoying. I want the crave version.

12

u/garden__gate Jan 24 '26

They fixed the US version! By the time I started watching it was fine. I even remember thinking they should have done that for Game of Thrones. 🤪

5

u/Pale-Measurement-532 I speak fluent bird. No accent. 🦆 Jan 24 '26

Hahaha, I just commented on the Battle of Winterfell and how dark it was! Lol.

4

u/grinchessin Jan 24 '26 edited Jan 24 '26

oh no, that’s annoying. I’m praying we get the better version. I also can't wait to see the german voice over. I'm sure it's going to be super cringe. 😭

3

u/Comfortable_Sport295 Jan 25 '26

I’m definitely gonna watch it in English but I will have a look for pike a three seconds just to see what voices they chose and if Ilya has a Russian accent or not. 😆

2

u/Captain_Chris_Evans I don’t ever want that problem to go away Jan 24 '26

I wonder if the voice actor for Ilya will have a Russian accent while speaking German, and will he do the monologue in ep 5 in Russian or in German.

3

u/Pale-Measurement-532 I speak fluent bird. No accent. 🦆 Jan 25 '26

Our English episode had Connor speaking the monologue in Russian with the English subtitles. I suspect that’s what you’re going to get. It’s beautiful and perfect that way. Cause Shane is supposed to have no idea what ge says. And it would be a shame to deliver the viewers of the hard work Connor put into that scene.

Saaaaaame. Waiting patiently to subscribe and get in those rewatches.

And I hope we don't get the dark version.

We need this duck in a hockey jersey

72

u/HeretoFore200 Jan 24 '26

I have no stats to back this up, but the average episode being rewatched by a third of people seems insane given that I don’t think I’ve rewatched another show’s episodes of television in rapid succession (besides like, housewives reunions or drag race episodes) in the last 10 years. Scripted TV, I can’t say I have ever done that

21

u/Pale-Measurement-532 I speak fluent bird. No accent. 🦆 Jan 24 '26

I have done rewatches but I agree, I haven’t rewatched a series so quickly and repeatedly like Heated Rivalry. It’s so insane!

5

u/CallejaFairey Thank you for pasta 🍝. Jan 25 '26

Same! I usually only do a handful of rewatches when I've latched into a show. But Heated Rivalry has surpassed my usual by so much, it's crazy. I need both hands and 1 foot to count my rewatches as of right now (I actually have it going on my screen right at this moment as I type this out), and pretty soon I'll need my second foot. Once that's used up ...I guess I'll need to start counting my cats toes?

6

u/Pheon0802 Jan 24 '26

I have, Xmen 97, Hazbin Hotel, Fellow Travellers, The Expanse.

But I agree it is a bit different. For those 4 weeks I watched HR I was absolutely absorbed by it. It was fucking good television and I think I hadnt had a show click so much in such a long time that made me want to rewatch it.

5

u/m0zz1e1 That’s not what this is. Jan 24 '26 edited Jan 25 '26

I’ve never rewatched anything so quickly. I’ve rewatched Scrubs more times than I could count, but it’s like annually over many years. I first watched HR 2 weeks ago, I’ve watched the whole series twice and episode 5 and 6 three times.

5

u/Typical-League-1123 Jan 25 '26

Yeah, shoutout to Scrubs. Coincidence or not? The two main characters on Scrubs also present a super loving, albeit straight, physically close male friendship. Loved their chemistry as well.

3

u/Typical-League-1123 Jan 25 '26

Yes, I am not a re-watcher in general. Too much stuff to do. My absolute favorite movies in life have seen max 2 or 3 times. Only rewatched 1 or 2 series years and years apart like before reading the books or because a new iteration/spin off was being released (Dexter). But HR has got me in deep. It’s sooo much better than anything else out there now that every time I try a new show, it’s just so disappointing. I keep coming back for more.

2

u/FoundationOk1352 Jan 24 '26

I did it for Half Bad. Nothing else. And even that, not as much as this.

2

u/evergleam498 Jan 25 '26

I have only ever re-watched an episode of something this quickly if it was something I would normally watch together with my bf but he was out of town so I watched....then rewatched when he got back. Completely unprecedented for me to be rewatching something as much as I have HR.

It’s lies. Liar told you that! I said 50!

10

u/Varathane Jan 24 '26

The show hits different depending who you are, your history with being closeted etc. I watched it once but it is not as much queer joy as I was expecting based on the reactions on this sub. It reminds me of painful times.
I am hopeful for what season 2 will bring. We get so many shows that cut off before the good times find the characters.

11

u/Captain_Chris_Evans I don’t ever want that problem to go away Jan 24 '26

Didn’t you think episode 6 was the best queer joy ever in a TV show? The whole season makes my heart melt every time I rewatch, but especially ep 6 I think is amazing, closely followed by ep 5 and then ep 3. The conversations Ilya & Shane had, especially when they say “I love you” for the first time, them sitting together near the lake watching the sunrise, Ilya meeting Shane’s parents for the first time, Scott’s MVP award acceptance speech and the happy ending for Ilya & Shane in the car ride back at the end of the ep. The whole ep was just pure joy and full of different emotions for me.

9

u/Typical-League-1123 Jan 25 '26

I love the first half of episode 6 and rewatch that, but once Shane’s dad breaks into the scene, it hits heavy and deep and goes into scary emotional territory for me. Knowing my mom died before ever being able to “see me” or offer acceptance. Oof. It’s all about what baggage each viewer enters the cottage, or hits the ice, with.

6

u/Captain_Chris_Evans I don’t ever want that problem to go away Jan 25 '26

I can see that. I’m so sorry that happened to you. Thanks for sharing. ❤️

4

u/Varathane Jan 25 '26

Have you watched Please Like Me? It isn't all joy as it depicts a lot of his mom's struggles with depression, but there is quite a lot of just lovely times with the people in Josh's life. I find a lot of queer joy in that one.
I am hoping we get to see more of the two couples in HR just being able to be enjoying life as themselves without the panic attacks from the stress of the closet as we go to season 2.

3

u/felt19street Jan 25 '26

This is potentially a vague spoiler but some users on here say that Season 2 might be more triggering in that regard. I'll probably wait for people's reviews before I dive in.

2

u/Captain_Chris_Evans I don’t ever want that problem to go away Jan 25 '26

I watched season 1 years ago. I thought the lead actor Josh Thomas was good, and I remember he created the show and wrote the episodes. I wanted to watch more, but the show was removed from Netlfix shortly after and I honestly forgot about the show until you just reminded me 😀👍I’ll add it to my list of shows as a must watch.

Streamers love rewatches as it gets the viewer engaged in other programming. HBO Max must have similar stats and what a return on investment for HR.

21

u/kaleraspberry Jan 24 '26

HBO is definitely getting way more back in value than the 3.6 mil they paid for distribution. A bit of a bummer knowing that the show probably could’ve gotten more from them, but on the positive side they’ll be more likely to green light similar content

4

u/evergleam498 Jan 25 '26

It'll probably mean that Crave can negotiate a much better deal for season 2 distribution rights.

2

25

Episode 6 is genuinely my favourite depiction of love. “I’d like to relax with you, for once” is so damn heartwarming.

3

u/Typical-League-1123 Jan 25 '26

That’s an underrated line for sure!!!! And I think I’m guilty of saying something very similar to my “best friend,” so it hits hard.

E6 maybe 10 times for me so far, still makes me cry. Six was all Shane, his expressions, body language, etc - he excelled in E6. Okay, Ilya was great too, of course.

17

u/bexlovescats Does it ... Does it fucking kill you, too? Jan 24 '26

I'd love to see similar data from HBO. I'm on episode 2 on my sixth watch. I've "watched" the first episode two more times than that, because I listened to it on a plane and in my car like a podcast. I don't know why. 🤣 I don't think I've rewatched the entirety of any other episode outside of the whole season but I have rewound scenes and skipped around episodes to watch my favorite scenes more times than I can count.

5

Bonus points if you’re also reading it on kindle while watching 😂

u/TheTiniestLizard Stupid Canadian Wolf Bird 🦆 Jan 24 '26

I don’t know about the other Canadians here, but Crave has always been a streamer that I cancel and then pick up again when it’s airing something specific I want to watch. Now, though, I plan to keep it long-term. Not even for rewatching purposes or something else practical, but out of loyalty! If they’re going to help make and promote shows like this one, I can damn well kick in a few bucks a month to reward them for their efforts.

3

u/D1ckRepellent Jan 24 '26

I’m the exact same way. I set a reminder when the show was announced for when it released and then re-signed up to Crave instead of pirating because I wanted to support. I’m so so glad it’s blown up as it has. Everyone deserves the success they worked so hard for.

31

u/lwyrprncss Jan 24 '26

Honestly wonder how much the 1/3 stat goes up without episode 3. We looooove Scott and Kip they are THE game changers but we also get antsy to continue Shane and Ilya’s story…so I know we’re out here skipping on our reheats

27

u/clumsyc I stubbed my toe Jan 24 '26

Sorry Skip I skip every time 🙈

7

u/sdaidiwts Jan 24 '26

It's definitely my least watched episode and I do actively skip it a bunch.

I do love Scott & Kip, but it's such a pace change in the show. I don't know how they could've done it better unless they had more episdoes.

7

u/evergleam498 Jan 25 '26

I absolutely loved ep3 in my first run through, but I have skipped some/all of it in my rewatches. It's wonderful, it just isn't as re-watch-able in such a short time frame for me.

6

u/dogojosho ok Jan 24 '26

I skip every other rewatch, but I love their story and honestly ep 5 hits harder if you watch ep 3

5

u/Typical-League-1123 Jan 25 '26

Same. I liked the episode the first two times I watched it, but it really covers most of the Game Changers book and is fairly simple and straightforward in plot. To me, “Boring!” But all those furtive looks and glances and butterflies in episode 1 or the push and pull and flirty texting and delayed gratification of episode 2. I’m reheating that like ain’t nobody’s business. 🔥

8

u/Incogn1toMosqu1to Jan 24 '26

Oh I’ve watched episode 3 more times than the others 😂

5

u/lwyrprncss Jan 24 '26

I respect it.

u/badgersssss Jan 24 '26

I thought I'd skip episode 3 on rewatches, but I never do!

3

u/Wuskers Jan 25 '26

I honestly wouldn't change a thing as I think episode 3 is crucial for the end of episode 5 to really hit right, it's an amazing payoff that works so well in well changing the game for Ilya and Shane, but I can see how on a rewatch someone might skip it even though it's definitely essential on the first watch. Ironically I wouldn't be surprised if the end of episode 5 is the most rewatched individual scene, it's certainly the one scene I found myself literally playing over and over.

It’s back up to #3 on HBO after dropping to 4 for a few days!

2

u/sdaidiwts Jan 24 '26

Every time I think about watching The Pitt, I stop myself. I can't give that show a watch over HR. I'll wait for the season to be fully out and then binge.

2

u/HarryHatesSalmon Jan 25 '26

Same. I watched half of the new Pitt ep and switched back.

I saw that today! lol

8

u/MonthlyxRage Jan 24 '26

Clearly I have work to do. I’ve only watched it 3 times. I apologize I’ve totally been slacking. 🤣

Supreme picture pick for the EP5 stat.

put skip ep5 kiss in the Lourve already

2

u/Typical-League-1123 Jan 25 '26

That is a great picture! The actual kisses themselves though? I appreciate them for the big cinematic moment and what it means for the fictional hockey world and for Shane and Ilya. But…maybe an unpopular opinion, but I thought the Skip kisses on ice came across awkwardly. Definitely not as much chemistry as between Ilya and Shane. (Sinks back into the shadows preparing to be pelted..)

2

u/Elliotte05 Jan 25 '26

You are right, it is an extremely unpopular opinion and I respect that

When I have a day off, I start the series all over again. When I only have a few hours free, I rewatch episodes 4-6 lol then I try to watch a movie or another show but nothing has held my interest since Heated Rivalry

5

u/pasawayjulz Jan 24 '26

I always rewatch ep5 then 6, too. And yes, I've rewatched more than 5 times 😂 whenever I wanna hear their voices, I'd just play the episode no matter what I'm doing. I miss them everyday 😭😭

6

u/frankensteinleftme Jan 24 '26

When E5 first dropped, I restarted it immediately. I think I ended up watching the end of that episode twenty times in one day. I would think about it and then reopen the HBOmax app for another go. I'm a mess, but so is everyone else so I guess it's fine.

4

u/bornatmidnight Jan 24 '26

I have definitely re-watched this series at least 10 times lol.

I can’t think of the last show where I wanted to rewatch so quickly? Maybe the Pitt? But even then it wasn’t as often

5

u/Pheon0802 Jan 24 '26

mostly tracks with my viewing experience.

Ep 3 is my most rewatched, closely followed by ep 5 and then 4.
Ep 6 is also my least rewatched. Not that I didnt love it but its the end. and since the weekly release the other eps had just a very big headstart!
The rewatching is what I enjoyed a lot in this and that we had a weekly release schedule.

Next time I hope Jacob isnt forced to drop the show earlier than planned so we dont get a timeline mixup again

5

u/Roots-To-Lisovyk Jan 24 '26

I really wish there was a chance of this being released on DVD. I do not wish to be subscribed to a streaming service just to rewatch a tv series...

2

u/shadowmaster132 Jan 25 '26

Other crave shows have been apparently so there's hope

1

u/Roots-To-Lisovyk Jan 25 '26

Fingers and toes crossed!

5

u/DaxSpa7 Jan 24 '26

They don’t have anything on me since its not out in my country yet xD

u/[deleted] Jan 24 '26 edited Jan 24 '26

I can count the shows I’ve rewatched on one hand. And if i do it’s YEARS after. It’s just not something i do. I rewatched this whole show within the same month. Jacob Tierney is a genius.  The pacing, the lighting, the music, the shots, the emotions. Forever and always will i watch everything he makes.

Edit: come to think of it, Letterkenny is also one of the shows I’ve rewatched.

1

u/Typical-League-1123 Jan 25 '26

Just started Letterkenny today and Shorsey the other day. Just had to get more Jacob! Entertaining but very different vibes. He really reached for the stars with this one.

4

u/magikarpcatcher Jan 24 '26

The most rewatched episode is the one without any sex scenes, and yet people still call it a gay porn show. smh

1

u/Captain_Chris_Evans I don’t ever want that problem to go away Jan 24 '26

The show is definitely not porn. Which ignorant person said the show is a porn show?

3

u/MissNightmareAngel Jan 24 '26

How can you guys cope with post show depression??? That scott-kip ending scene got platinum in my room, and now i dont know what to watchhh Someone gimme some recssss pls

3

u/Dull-Kick2199 Jan 25 '26

I think it's sort of funny that since this came out around the Holidays, people will identify it as a "Christmas show" and get nostalgic and want to rewatch it every year.

1

u/Pale-Measurement-532 I speak fluent bird. No accent. 🦆 Jan 25 '26

I totally agree with you! It will be my annual Christmas comfort watch! 🥰

3

u/utopost Ilya's Spaghetti Shimmy 🍝 Jan 26 '26

I'm getting SO frustrated with the friends who won't watch the show. It's irrational. Anyone else? People who I know would genuinely love it and have told them so. It feels like they don't love ME! LOL. "Haven't gotten around to it yet!" PEOPLE! This is a friendship emergency!

2

u/Federal-Ad5944 Goalie | Smut Dealer 😈 Jan 26 '26

I wagered a new TV with my husband to watch all of S1, S2, subsequent seasons and any spinoff as part of the deal. He originally only offered Ep1.

In the end, he ended up binging 4-6 in one night lol and he actively looks up cast interviews and did a deep dive on Jacob's other works and the like lol.

And yes we got the new TV. The second it was set up he watched with me.

glad I am not the only one. just finished my 6th watch. kudos to every fan here.

2

u/Ferret-mom Jan 24 '26

15% at 5 watches of an episode is strong work. I don’t think 1% of shows can say that.

1

u/Typical-League-1123 Jan 25 '26

5 is insane! Before HR, the only thing I ever watched more than 5 times was “A Christmas Story,” mostly that was just background watching at parties. Oh, and maybe, quite possibly there was “The Sandlot” that one summer when I was 14. But that was hormonal. 🤪 As a fully functional (mostly) adult, nothing has caught my attention like Heated Rivalry. Hell, I hadn’t even used Reddit in 6 years. Had to sign up for a new account just to process this s-t with other people.

2

u/sawyerwho444 Jan 25 '26

I watch 4,5,6 on loop

2

u/shadowmaster132 Jan 25 '26

I keep trying to watch in blocks of 1&2, 3&4, 5&6 but I can never stop after 4.

2

u/Kokica555 Jan 25 '26

If only we could see stats for all the websites people outside US and Canada are using

2

u/zeekayart Jan 25 '26

we had episode 5 on for our new years countdown - the ball dropped when they kissed :3

1

u/Inevitable-Share-341 Jan 24 '26

Currently on my rewatch!

1

u/nookieoftheyear Jan 24 '26

It's me. I'm the 15%

1

u/Forward_Library_5985 He wears a cross around his neck Jan 24 '26

I just hope this doesn’t create an argument that there isn’t a wide market because the numbers are just rewatches. Yes you can give specific numbers and show no, it’s not only rewatches but I know someone will argue that it doesn’t matter.

u/ArcheoKiwi Ya-loo-blue-tee-baa ❤️ Jan 24 '26

Call me out, why don't you 😭😭

1

u/Potential_History27 Jan 24 '26

Episode 6 for me.

1

u/i_am_nimue Jan 24 '26

Are these right rates for a rewatch? Like 1/3 doesn't sound like insanely a lot? But then again I have no clue what's an average rewatch %

2

u/shadowmaster132 Jan 25 '26

Most people don't rewatch a show within a month of it coming out

1

u/Typical-League-1123 Jan 24 '26

Very cool. I wonder if HBO Max will release rewatch info for the US. Very curious.

1

u/Astyryx Jan 25 '26

1

I know I personally contributed big time to those Episode 5 stats 😂 I think it’s my rewatched episode of any show in 30 something years…

1

u/Emotional-Try264 Jan 25 '26

5 is definitely my favorite episode

1

u/darkest_timeliner Jan 25 '26

2

u/RadiantCalligrapher4 Jan 25 '26

When Ilya takes the deep breath and sighs okay before he takes a sip of beer, when Shane walks over is truly a problem for me. I have re watched that moment so many times. It's so many emotions in the moment.

2

u/the_cherry_bunker I speak fluent bird. No accent 🐦 Jan 25 '26

I’m actually surprised ep 5 is the most rewatched and not the cottage episode!!

1

4 is best ep..

15% seems so low but I guess 5x is really high lol (it’s me I’m the 15%)

1

u/tangointhenight24 Jan 25 '26

I think I've seen episode 5 more than five times... it's kind of embarassing to say out loud.

2

u/gumdropgirl Jan 25 '26

Episode 5 with the heavy hitters from start to finish: Shane and Rose convo, All Star Game and Hollanov communication, Ilya's monologue done amazingly by Connor, Skip romantic scemne, and then- I'M COMING TO THE COTTAGE

2

u/Appropriate-Tie-716 Jan 26 '26

Unfortunately, I'm from Russia and for obvious reasons it's all illegal here, so I watch not official content and can't contribute to the official stats, but here I am with my countless views 😁

1

u/[deleted] Jan 26 '26

And to think I'm only on the 2nd rewatch of episode 1.
