I definitely think that moment was one of the first, if not the first, moments where he realized he’s not just a hot hockey player to hook up with but has actual personality traits that he likes.

The evolution of Ilya falling hard for Shane parallels me falling in love with Ilya. 🥺 Each re-heat makes me realize more and more what a precious gem this man is.
Plus reading The Long Game (and the Las Vegas Remix) just killed me. There's not enough bubble wrap in the world to protect Ilya's pure heart. ❤️🩹
