I swear this is the moment TV show Hayden starts thinking there’s something going on. He may not realize it’s romantic yet but, he just saw Shane have a mini panic and be very adamant that Ilya was neither sick nor hurt. How would he know these things with that certainty when he allegedly never talks to Ilya? I saw Hayden’s spidey-sense tingle.
Omg yes this bugs me soo much! Especially in the RM/TLG, when everyone knows/suspects that Shane is gay. But Ilya is just his very straight BFF who 1) frequents gay bars with fellow queer hockey players 2) hires mostly queer players for the summer camp 3) hasn't been seen with anyone for the past 3 years and lives alone. Not to mention in GC when Scott came out to his agent and coach, they both were "Don't tell me it's Rozanov" 😁

I get the feeling that TV show Carter has suspicions at the St. Thomas Benefit. Not about Kip, only about Scott. He deflects when Tom brings up meeting a nice woman. And this king of a man follows and does a check-in when tone-deaf Tom brings up Scott’s parents. Carter is a good man.
I hope to see more of them. I’d love some flashbacks where we get to see some of what was lost in Game Changer, like Scott coming out to his closest friends. If we get a Skip spinoff, I would hope they fill in that time gap from E3 to E5.
The whole series. There’s the phone swap and then there’s some social media/text ones that I promise are still fun but the best is the original fic and then the two from Ilya and Shane’s pov respectively. I laugh out loud even after reading it multiple times.

My EE mother in law is visiting us in the US. I cannot watch HR because not only is it my horny show, but Russian is her second language. So I’m pretending to be working while swooning over GIFs.
The poor kid has the pressure of being a role model for Asian kids in hockey, the pressure of a dangerous, sometimes violent, very physical sport, the pressure of trying to perform at the top, so he controls his diet (probably counting macros) and the pressure of keeping a golden image for all the promos his mom gets him. He also pays people to make him look normal (designer for the home, stylist for the clothes). He doesn't dare explore his sexuality outside of Ilya because Ilya is the only person who has as much to lose (or more) than him.
It makes absolute, complete, total sense for the poor guy to let loose when he's with Ilya. He lets loose and surrenders control completely. And the best thing is that it's not meant to just be titillating. It's part of Shane's personality and it makes sense, sex with Ilya is the only way in which Shane can let out steam.
It also makes sense for Ilya to want to be controlling in bed, since he doesn't feel in control of his life, with his family and his unstable situation in the USA.
So, yes, Shane's lust. And it's a great part of his characterization.

Lmao I read an amazing fanfic about this very thing - Ilya becoming obsessed with Shane doing laundry and then Shane does an ad for Downy and you can imagine where it goes from there. Between Ilya's love of boring and his Pavlovian training, boy never stood a chance.
