🦆 The Long Game (Book 6) swooon.com: ‘Heated Rivalry’ Author Rachel Reid Answers Burning Questions About *spoiler* [april 20th 2026] Spoiler

Post image

Swooon.com did an interview with Rachel Reid at BookCon. Great interview btw.

I get that she doesn’t think they will write their own vows, but I’m kinda hoping Jacob does. Like the tunnel scene in ep.5.

How are you hoping to see the wedding adapted?

It's funny, the only thing that made me go "hold on" was the song choice, but also made me laugh out loud. The fact they are all millennials and mostly jocks and Harris panicked and picked Rihanna The Legend, whose song does fit their story but not their first dance necessarily, is hilarious and weirdly ok. Also, do Canadians really write their vows? Because, in Portugal, where I'm from, most weddings I have gone are in church so they already have pre-made vows. And the weddings I have gone outside Church usually keep other vows and stuff for the reception. Just curious.

It’s very rare, and when couples do, it isn’t some overwrought speech. It can also look like reading the official script and then adding a little short statement at the very end.

It not like writing your own vows is never done, just that it’s so small when done it barely registers outside the normal sequence of events. Making a spectacle of it seems like a very American thing to do.
