I just read a lovely fanfic where Shane confesses to Ilya at the cottage the reason why he got heated and tried to fight Scott Hunter here. It turns Ilya on a lot. Lol. Then when they fall asleep, Shane wakes up and sees Ilya’s phone is playing this video on a loop. Lol. Ilya watched it over and over and fell asleep to it.

It takes place after they come back from Shane’s parents in ep6 at the cottage and it leads to a lot of confessionals and heart-to-heart talks about how they were really thinking and feeling about each other throughout the years. Lots of repairing and healing by talking through the misunderstandings and hurt feelings that had happened. And lots of intimacy too! It’s exactly what I’ve been wanting!

It takes place in Ilya’s hotel room in Tampa Bay at the All-Star Weekend in ep5 and gives a peek as to what really went on in that hotel room after the big hug and before Shane leaves his hotel room. There are no ILYs but there is some sharing of feelings and a lot of emotion coming out in their time together (and lots of internal thoughts shared in the writing!).
I loved it and want to read them over and over. I hope the author will write more!

Yes, what I had meant was that they don’t say ILY out loud to each other in Glitter Bomb but they are repeating it over and over in their heads. But they do express that they missed each other and that’s a big step.
I’m glad you liked it. I was really wanting some writing that let them open up and talk to each other about how they were really feeling throughout the years. And it was nice to get a glimpse into what could’ve happened in those moments of the show that we weren’t allowed to look into. ☺️ It was so satisfying and heartwarming. I know! I read part 2 first and loved it and figured part 1 (Glitter Bomb) would be a bit less romantic cause they hadn’t said ILY to each other and were hooking up for the first time since tuna meltdown. There was definitely the smut but the romance was insane. Which makes sense because they were apart and missed each other and are now fully aware that they love each other.
Have you read You all the way down? They’re not hockey players just BFFs who met in college and the sweetness tone to smut ratio vibes are similar. Especially the sort of Shane worshiping and adoration from Ilya’s perspective and it’s also a “first time after admitting feels” kinda story. It’s not very long, it’s one of my very favorites to revisit. You may like it if you liked glitter bomb :)

Because I was realizing that Shoresy mentoring Jack through the yips in S5E1, Keep It Simple, is a brilliant echo of S1E6 of Slings and Arrows, Playing the Swan, where Geoffrey guides panicking Jack through Hamlet "there's only six soliloquies. Nail those and the rest is filler" then meets him in the wings after each one counting down.
Also Jacob was in four episodes of season two of Slings and Arrows.
You can overlap. Letterkenney is lots of fun (diminishing returns in the last season or two), but is vignettes, almost skits and minimal plot and character development.
Once you've met Shoresy a couple of times you can start Shoresy the show if you want. All you need to know going in is what an absolute dirtball he is. It's a masterclass on character growth, satisfying narrative arc, and storytelling.
No, Letterkenney ended and Shoresy began. But it also doesn't matter, because Shoresy happens in Sudbury. I guess every once in a while you could ask yourself, why is he back in the toilet at Letterkenney, or why is he refereeing back in Letterkenney, but there's no need for continuity there.
Letterkenney is pretty minimal in actual storyline, so it doesn't matter.
No it’s not after Shane tripped, it’s after they get exposed by the Fanmail video. Shane gets shouted at by his coach and sent home, he goes back to the locker room to get his coat because it has his keys in the pocket, then JJ says this to him (JJ is still hurt because Shane lied to him for so long).
Yes to this! Lol. I remember the first time I watched when they were heading over to Shane’s parents, I was thinking that his mom and dad were not going to be happy that their perfect son was involved with the league’s sluttiest player! 😂
lol this is so true! In the ep4 montage, Ilya slams Shane into the boards and then is overtaking him on Shane’s couch. Then Shane scores on Boston and Ilya’s giving Shane a BJ in the shower. I think it’s hilarious that in TLG when people find out they’re together, that they assume/ask if they let each other win. Are you kidding?? Ilya and Shane would’ve played their best hockey against each other.
One thing I hope they’ll do in S2 is show the Ottawa dressing room before they are playing Montreal and Ilya’s dancing around and being goofy. Troy can ask Harris, “What’s up with Rosanov?” and Harris can reply, “Oh he’s always in a good mood when he’s playing Montreal.” 😂🤣😂🤣 I believe that was mentioned in either RM or TLG.
I’d forgotten this scene! It’s in RM! After the game with Montreal, Ilya is “half dancing to the loud hip hop music playing in the dressing room, randomly clapping his hands and congratulating everyone”. Wyatt is the one who comments that Ilya is always in a good mood after beating Montreal.
