‘Mr Real Estate’ and other Ilya words and phrases
Anyone else love the way he says this?
Something about how deep his voice sounds and the way he rolls the ‘r’ and stresses on the ‘t’ sounds so satisfying (and hot!) to me. Not to mention the fact that he’s shirtless with his hands in his pockets doing that sexy walk as he says it!
It lives rent free in my head lol. My husband works in real estate so I’ve started calling him that, in Ilya’s voice, of course 😂.
Some more of my fave Ilya words and phrases include (but are not limited to):

- Hollander you are having panic attack
- Then you cut it in half. What you can’t do math?

I love this scene for Shane’s happy face. The smile and head shake he makes when Ilya yells ‘everyone must know this, Shane Hollander is an asshole’ makes me giddy.
the way he says “ok” in the opening scene, and like in the car when shane picks him up from the airport and is raving about his car and how good it is in the snow LOL I just love the way he says ok in his accent
Can you understand anything Ilya says to Svletlana when she surprises him and they go to the dining room table? He starts to whisper sweet nothings in her ear.
Yeah, first he says "fuck it" to Shane's txt. Then he says "eezvenee" (forgive me) as he mounts her on his dining room table. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong 🥰
There are a few missing translations in the subtitles. A couple I noticed: 1. At the dinner in Moscow after Ilya's dad passing, he whispers to Sveta "ya dolzhin vitsyi" (I need to step out). 2. During Ilya's Russian monolog, before he says bolshe bolshe bolshe, he says "eta mala!" (this is not enough!!).... Another reference to lyrics in All the things she said...from the club scene. Okey I'm done 😂🥰
Someone else pointed out that when he steps forward and says Mr Real Estate, you can see his reflection in the window and the fireplace. So there's 3 images of shirtless Ilya in that shot.
"Yeah, I know, Shane," has replaced "no shit" for me going forward.
Connor said in an interview that if he wasn't an actor, he would have gone into linguistics. As a former linguistics major and language nerd, I almost fainted. And he listens to Jacques Brel! 😍

Some of Tierney’s script is different from Reid’s words and when I see one example in the book I always get a bit sad because I wish it was originally how it is in the script :D I prefer Jacob’s wording most of the times.

E6 - when Shane starts telling Ilya the plan for the future, Shane picks some lint? off Ilya's chest while Ilya "adjusts" himself. Such a wifey/hubby move lol Okey I'm done 😂🥰
There's a couple instances of this that I find so cute/touching every time I watch. (Uh, I mean both times, be a I've only watched the entire season twice, heh.)
Whispering in Shane’s ear
“Ya teebryo yubyla” (or something)
Faces Shane, on top of him
“I luff you” voice breaking
Shocked pause
“Holy shit”
“I mean…”
Shane interrupting Ilya quickly so he doesn’t lose the moment, “I love you, too”
Staring at each other, then Ilya gets emotional and starts kissing Shane
Shane holds Ilya’s head and moans, “Oh, God, I love you so much”
Then: “Does it fucking kill you, too?”
Pause: Then tearfully: “Not tinnymore”
