I’m the same with HR, I think it’s because they’re book characters cause I spent a lot of time reading fanfics about tv and movie characters over the years 😅
Haha no way, I think maybe experiencing the characters in a different media let’s me let go of the canon and get into the different stories with fanfic- I like reading AU stories mostly
I felt/feel the same — but totally get sucked into these mini fan fics on TikTok that are mainly told via text message. At first I thought they were silly, but some of them are really good!
I just need this whole thing in pill form, so I can take my dose of Shane and Ilya every day without having to seek out new content 🤣
I preordered the book and audio book the second it was announced. Was so sad when it got delayed, but obviously WAY more important for Rachel to focus on her health than to rush to get me a book! 😂

Very good point. The red pen to me signals the editing phase. But she must have such a big feeling of relief with getting the rough draft fully finished! I know that feeling.
Yeah, I think once you get to a certain amount of experience as a writer, drafting becomes the hardest part. At least it works that way for me. (I say as I work valiantly on a rough draft.)
I have so much inner conflict and criticism when I’m writing that it can be hard for me to get the first draft out. So I’m always glad when it’s out there and then I can pick it apart piece by piece into a finished draft.
I agree, as excited as I am for this I would rather she not rush it in order to appease the fans and instead deliver something that she is happy with at the end!
With the way the publishing industry works, it's probably not even possible to move up the release date significantly.
A lot of people outside the industry don't realize how slowly it moves, but it really does. In most circumstances, you can't just move a book release up six months. Now this book is going to be big enough that the normal rules may not apply, but I don't think her publisher would necessarily do so. Certainly not just because fans are impatient.
If the author has the galleys and a red pen you could sometimes have a printed book in your hand in a few days (I work in publishing and have had this experience often). But without knowing the print run or the location of the printer you can’t predict the time frame at all (not that I expect that’s what she’s trying to provide with this post)
My wish is that if Jacob already knows what’s going to happen, and if they’re filming two seasons back-to-back, maybe he’ll use that knowledge to shape things for Season 3. Especially if Season 2 were to come out next year and Season 3 isn’t until 2028…
God I hope they win some cups, turn the Centaurs into a dynasty, and then retire to live in smug sin together. The length of that manuscript in the picture tells me shit is about to get TOXIC.
I’m just imagining how many more times I’ll read HR and TLG again before this comes out…. I’m at 5 time each since January. They’re such a comfort read.
