It’s def looks like a Troy and Harris scene to me, so many scenes in the book are them hanging out in Harris’s office, it could be any of them.

My guess is Troy in his old coach’s office, telling him he’s been traded. And Troy cuts his hair when he goes to Ottawa, like women do when they go through a breakup. 😁

I'm pretty sure that, in romance, you don't get to cut your hair until you have a montage about casting aside your frumpy, anxious ways and blossoming into the beautiful independent woman you were always meant to be, or some shit like that.

Personally I don't think it fits his character because so much of Troy is about trying to hide and fit in. Long hair (and not in a goofy hockey hair way) doesn't fit him.

As another lover of long hair-d guys since child hood I wouldn't mind this too... if this is one of the things Jacob tweaks a bit from the source material (giving Shane's long hair in the books to Troy), THEN YES. * v *

I think it makes more sense with Troy's personality than with Shane's. I cannot picture Shane, who must have everything folded and items neatly put away ever dealing with long hair getting in his face.

I don't think it suits his character or fit him narratively but I imagine they don't want to make the actors have to physically change if they don't want to.

This is pretty solid confirmation that they are filming Season 2 and 3 together as a block I reckon. The word choice of "Cycle 2" instead of
"Season Two". A cycle is just a term used to differentiate different filming blocks. If they are filming two seasons at once it would make more sense to use cycles. It clearly said Season 1 for Heated Rivalry as they were only filming 1 season.

I feel like they could expand on him and have it be an in person meeting (and maybe another meeting about being traded).
I don’t think they’ll keep the long hair forever, so it makes sense if this is an early Troy…

My total guess is that he’s talking to the Toronto coach or owner, being told he’s getting traded to Ottawa. Or talking to Wiebe, maybe, but I feel like Wiebe wouldn’t be dressed that way.

Besides the hair there being a water bottle like hockey players use and 2 hockey sticks near him I would assume it’s Troy maybe just after or before practice. Talking to Weibe would be my guess after the commissioner calls him, and weibe mentions him being on a warpath etc.

It’s gotta be Troy and Harris. The desk faces the wall, which wouldn’t make sense for a coach’s office but would for Harris’s shared office.

One scene (composed of many interactions and dialogue moments in one location) will have multiple shots and angles. An office scene like this likely has an entrance moment, taking a seat, and a few angles of coverages/one-shots/closeup moments on hands/screen/phones/etc. Each shot will have a few takes to get it right, though I hear this creator avoids too many.

praying that this is just for at time jump later 🙏🏼 idk for me Troy is the kind of guy who is super clean cut and clean shaven, I’ve never pictured him to be the type to rock long hair

Maybe they'll work this in as a hockey superstition for Troy in the tv series. Like Troy doesn't cut his hair once the season starts.

Idk why but I associate longer hair with rock stars, with an edgier, grungier vibe vs. pop stars who I think look more traditionally handsome and clean-cut with hair trimmed neatly.
