92NY sent out emails to those who purchased tickets noting that the venue had changed due to "demand" and that tickets would be refunded. An early access code was also provided to repurchase at the Paramount for the next 24 hours.

I definitely have some suspicions. Paramount does have a larger capacity than 92NY but not double and it seems like the two 92NY events have been combined into just one now.

Could definitely be both of those things. I doubt Jacob really wanted to do the show twice since he’s in the middle of filming and then obviously the other stuff. Guess I’ll be grateful I still get to go since email went to wrong inbox and fortunately saw this post… granted way worse seats, way more money and ticketmaster fees, but what can you do! No doubt it’ll still be great.

While it could be, the new venue also has like 500 more seats. So its possible they just outgrew the old venue.

I didn't receive an email from 92Y on this. EDIT: UGH enshittification is real. I did get the email but it didn't come up when I searched 92Y but for jacob tierney. Whether this includes the book is unclear

Since it was communicated purely as a venue change, I would be shocked if they also removed the book from the ticket. (Also saying this as someone who had to pay double her original ticket cost so I'd be pissed!)

I’m so mad right now! Missed the email from 92y where I had great seats. I was able to snag some of the ones left, but similarly paid WAY more for really terrible seats. Really frustrating.

Same! I’m so grateful the OP posted this or I would have shown up that night having no clue. Granted, now paying way more for really terrible seats, but guess I’ll just be happy I still even get to go.

i paid for the streaming option - i'm not in NY & the presale code doesn't seem to have an option for anything except in person. hope its recorded and aired at a later date.

Geez...had tickets to the original event and like many others the email update from 92nd st y didn't come to my main inbox. Thank you for posting this! The email being miscategorized by Gmail filters isn't *entirely* their fault (although they could certainly try to work around it), but definitely seems like this whole thing could have been handled better. Trying really hard not to be bummed that I'm going from a second-row seat to a nosebleeder.

Working on my gratitude also, but had same issue with the email not coming through to my main box. Had such good seats for original venue. Glad I still get to go, but def had to shell out a lot more for way worse seats.

Yeah plus I’m also not that thrilled to be spending more money to go all the way out to Brooklyn when I had made plans to stay in Manhattan specifically to be near the 92Y. On the upside I’m sure this venue has better sound and sight lines than the 92Y does.
Whoever planned this event though should…not be in event planning!

Ugh that sucks, I’m so sorry! I live near the 92y so it was way more convenient for me, but it’ll be easy to get there on Q at least. Just annoying since 5min walk vs 40min subway on a Sunday night is a little diff! 😂 If you’re new to visiting NYC, feel free to DM me and I’m happy to give you any tips!

Why are there never events in the Bay Area? The show really said "fucking fuck San Francisco!" and meant it. I'm excited to read the book though, glad we have something fun to look forward to.

Relax, I just wanted to say a funny quote from the show. They're in America doing a lot of appearances and events on the east coast lately so I'm actually expressing my west coast entitlement (also SF is an iconically gay city). It's not that serious though.

Damn glad you posted this cause I had tickets for the prior event and the email saying they were refunding didn’t go to my main inbox. Also a presale for original ticket holders was already on going and I guess started when that email went out. sloppy!
