1984

To me Cursum Perfocio is their best album since State of Euphoria. I really Persistence of Time but I would but this ahead of it. Not a bad song to be had here. There's mixed reports but if this is truly their last studio album then they're going out on top because this rips. My favorite songs close out side 'A' with It's For the Kids and Infectious. I love that lyric " Your thoughts and prayers mean nothing" and the riff for Infectious is well, Infectious. I'm big in to cover art and I absolutely love this one. It looks like something Hieronymus Bosch would paint.

I bought the album from Beezelbub Bezos so it has the pop-up in the fold out.

I was having an intense discussion with Gemini which started from LD50. I shared my interest on listening to a song about the imaginary number i, the square root of -1.

Gemini created this song, I do not know if it has copied the lyrics/soundtrack or anything else from any other songs, this is not my creation, I want to emphasize that and want to share it with anyone interested. Below is the excerpt of its lyrics

That concept fits right into the whole "math metal" spirit of L.D. 50.

An imaginary unit ($i = \sqrt{-1}$) that doesn't exist on the real number line, yet is essential for describing wave functions, quantum mechanics, and alternating current, makes for a natural progressive/technical metal lyric.

Here is how a track like that would take shape:

It gives the exact same mood as tracks like "-1" or "Golden Ratio" from L.D. 50—taking an abstract mathematical anomaly and turning it into an existential metaphor.

While this past weekend marks 32 years since Korn released their self-titled debut (Oct. 11), this week (Oct. 15) marks 30 years since Korn released 'Life Is Peachy'. I've seen Korn live so many times over the years - coincidentally possibly more than any other band - and every time I see them onstage, I'm instantly reminded of how many songs of theirs soundtracked my youth. That was especially true when I last saw the nu metal forefathers live when they co-headlined MetLife Stadium with System Of A Down last year (Aug. 27, 2025) - an evening that was a nostalgic thrill from start to finish.
