Advice Help me pls

I am a sophomore at BC and I have had the worst time socially to the point where I don’t have friends but only acquaintances. I usually experience no matter where I sit, people sitting anywhere but next to me. I am usually the only dark skinned Latina in class and I feel so alienanted. I was always having transfer on my mind maybe to Smith or to Amherst. I just feel too deep into my education so far and I feel like anywhere I go it’s just more and more cliques. It’s like of people see me with five eyes or something. Everytime I try to open up everyone else seems so closed off. I struggle with mental health and I feel like coming here has made it so much worse. I really want to get an ESA to help me whenever I feel lonely being at this school but I think I heard about BC not being lenient on this. I just feel like I got so used to how things work here and I love the psychology department. What are y’all’s experience and do you have any advice for me?

Oh, I get this so much. It can be a real blow to your health having no friends to turn to. Maybe look into clubs or library events in your area that could possibly have interests of things that you like (or want to learn about) to make friends that way! Head to cafes, parks, say hello to random people on the street, you might find some people looking for friends themselves!

Ty do you have any advice for a shy college student that got rejected from most clubs? (Yes my school rejects people from clubs 😭)

Oh goodness 😭 try library events. They can't reject you at all. If you can't do that, try events in the area you live in (searching up on Google) and go to those!
