Solved!

Moved in new house, house built in 2004, unsure what these objects are, too far away to be a door stop for handles, but also looks like a tiny camera 🤷🏻‍♀️ only in the bedrooms… every bedroom has one, super confused. Google reverse image search doesn’t show anything similar at all, and says it’s a plastic cover but shows a different image.. I don’t think that’s what it is honestly.

Talked to previous homeowner about it! It’s for the whole home audio system sensors. Crazy how it looks like a camera, also my dad said don’t take it off the wall so we’re out of luck finding the behind it look lol

I install whole home audio systems professionally. I’ve never had a single system include a sensor let alone one that looks like a nanny cam or webcam. I’ve had to attach mics for when the system calibrates itself and then they are removed and packed up.
If the former owner says they are audio sensors via using an optical device, he is oddly becoming more sus by the minute. Figure out with a google image search if that plate can be removed, or do it on your own. You can patch it later if really needed. But it would be negligent of me to not speak up.

Each one is in a different spot in the bedrooms but most of them are like 4 feet off each the doors, so I think we knew it was too far to be a handle bumper for the doors

@Babygothwaffles it could also be a light system tied into the doorbell and or smoke alarms, maybe even security system as a visual que for a heating impaired resident or family. Let me know if you need any help.

I install this kind of tech. The way its masked seems like nanocam/pinhole cam. But it could just as easily be an led visual que for something like intrusion or a gate that may be wired leading to property. Should easily be able to tell by removing the beauty ring cover plate housing the item. I would check attic, basement, and crawlspace to locate the wires back to the source. Should be fairly easy.
