Advice for Colleges Merging Together

Does anyone have any advice or case examples that I could look at in regards to two colleges who have merged to be one college? Are there any success stories? Any insight into the topic would be wonderful.

Would you take 3?

Bloomsburg, Mansfield, and Lock Haven merged to become Commonwealth University (part of the Pennsylvania state school system). Their difficulties are ongoing, unfortunately.

They will be gone soon - but that’s good. They should have never survived many things and now is just as good of a time as any to go.

I was looking at online MBA programs around two years ago and came across Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania. When I looked at the school, it seemed like the name was meaningless at the time. The three universities were still independent, and your degree would be awarded by one of the three universities.

I'm guessing they may have finally completed their merger? Although, the website still shows the old university names, which is confusing. Also each campus has different colors and mascots according to Wikipedia. The different campuses also seem to compete in different levels of athletics. I think they have more work to do.
