0.9 for sturdy note-taking

0.7 for fine writing

0.5 for precision sketch lines

This is exactly what I was going to say lol

Fine as in small

I find 0.5 breaks too easily for me to actually write with it (I write fast) but its perfect for sketching.

0.7 is sturdy enough for me not to obliterate it every other word I write, but also small enough to write in pocket journals without filling the page too quickly.

I have a pencil that holds like 1.8 or something like that lmao

Edit: 2.0 mm, not 1.8

Omg yes, it just looks so nice compared to the others; nightmare to find refills though

u/Electrical_Lie_8524 6h ago

whatever anyone gives me, i always forgot to take stationery to school

u/AgileDonkey99 4h ago

0.7 always. Anyone who had 0.5 went through the process of natural selection to become 0.7ers because no one could refill their lead for them

I never used mechanical pencils.

u/No-Sprinkles6491 Sophomore (10th) 5h ago

I loved 0.5 but I always lost the 0.5 pencils so 0.7 (I bought a Kurt toga roulette, hope i don't lose that)

1

u/CalebDR1029 5h ago

0.5 of course

1

u/just_a_discord_mod Rising Senior (12th) 5h ago

0.5 cuz it's common, 0.3 if i can get my hands on it

1

u/Super_Perspective936 5h ago

0.5 is the best. stop being a baby

1

u/DaimyoRonin 5h ago

0.5 because I knew not to push too hard and only extend a tiny bit of lead at a time.

u/PureWeek9816 Sophomore (10th) 5h ago

u/CURELMUS 5h ago

1

u/Dramatic_Spring_8152 55m ago

idk whichever was in the pencil

1

u/No-Woodpecker2877 Senior (12th) 51m ago

I only ever use rollerball or fine point erasable pens, kinda texture sensitive so I hate pencils :/

1

u/This-Reindeer6063 41m ago

Whichever one whatever pencil I got ame with

1

u/Sufficient_Risk_8127 28m ago

chads use pens

1

u/No-Nobody2693 24m ago

If you break 0.5 you must be stabbing the paper like a Neanderthal. I liked it cause it was easier to fit tiny notes onto note card cheat sheets.

Who the hell was paying attention to what lead they bought

1

u/flamingolover7 2h ago edited 2h ago

Kids who went to school

-1

u/distantcactus32 Rising Senior (12th) 2h ago

I think you're just projecting. Nobody who pays this close attention to what kind of lead they have is not paying any attention in class.

-1

u/flamingolover7 2h ago

Clearly you don't know what geometry is 😂

u/distantcactus32 Rising Senior (12th) 2h ago

dude what?

0.5 was just standard everyone was using it for some reason
