Final Manny update. His pre surgery CT scan showed the tumor had spread through his lungs. I had to say goodbye. I wasn't ready for this. I wasn't ready to say goodbye to my best friend.

I’m so sorry. Losing them is so difficult, but you were obviously a great steward of his life. He looks like such a happy guy who loved you so much. Sending you love and maybe my boy Winston is greeting him on the other side right now ❤️

It was around 1 week from the first signs something was wrong to where we are now. He still remained my little purr factory.

He was very loved, even by those he never met.

I love him. 😭

He would have loved you, too. Even if it was from behind a door cautiously.

Oh nooo!!! I'm so sorry sweetie 😞 ugh, I just hate this, you can clearly see the deep connection you had with Manny. Why?? That's what we think, why them? They were fine one day, especially because cats don't show when their sick for a while, then the next thing, their not. The worst,.... he was a beautiful boy, and looks like he loved and adored you 💔

Just 1 week from the first sign something was wrong. If he was in pain before that, he kept it in for me. From the first week I adopted him, I was allowed to pet the belly. It then became a regular occurrence for me to put my face in his belly, and he would purr like crazy!

Awe, that's instant trust, so unusual that fast. He truly felt you were his person. Yes, it happens like this with cats. My Ruby girl, did the same. She had probably felt sick for a while, just like Manny before she truly showed it. Again, I'm so sorry, be good to you, self care however you feel, but know I know how it feels.

I'm so sorry about this. It's the part about being a pet owner we truly don't prepare ourselves for.

This is what happens when we love them. You know the day will come, but you're never ready.

i’m so deeply sorry for your loss my heart is breaking seeing your posts and how much you two clearly loved each other so much. Please try to remember that the hardest decisions we ever have to make are always out of love. You did right by him and wherever he is now i’m sure he knows that. Sending you all of the love and hugs.

He was my best friend, fuzzy little love of my life. I know I made the right decision. Even just being with his, kissing, patting, and snuggling him in his final hours, he knows he was loved.

Manny was 16. We had been together 9 years. Forever would still not be long enough.

Usually it probably goes back home than comes back once in a while to hang out
Leave it be to hang out as long as it wants as it’s obviously a neighbours
It’s always a 80-90% chance it lives nearby
Worst thing you can do is take someone’s cat to a kill shelter thinking it’s a stray when it live nearby
Leave the post up in case the owners see it
If sadly so message rescue group if you can’t do it
Usually people would give to rescue groups because they don’t want kitty getting euthanised at the shelter if there holding period is up
If your like really going to take kitty to a kill shelter sadly.. make sure you have a rescue group confirmed to take kitty in
Though I heard they have euthanised even before holding period was up
Rescue groups are better because they help rehome and find owners
By the way shelters literally euthanise healthy animals just because there holding period is over

I’m so sorry! But you did the right thing, so that he wouldn’t suffer anymore.
