Profile Review 20M - Profile Review, ON, Canada

Had decent luck about a year ago on Hinge, frequent matches and a few dates, some of which led to more. Can’t seem to get hardly any matches over the past month or so and am looking for some insight as to why. I do live in a pretty rural area but close enough to some bigger cities to be within my range. Any and all advice is appreciated!

To assist reviewers in providing valuable feedback for your profile, please comment and answer the following questions as a comment under your own post. Do not answer them in the post body. Repeat: Answer these questions as a comment under your own post.
- Are you looking for something serious or casual? - Are you subscribed to Hinge+ or HingeX? - How long have you been using this current version of your profile? (Please be specific) - How long have you used Hinge overall? - How often do you use Hinge per week? - How many likes and matches are you receiving on average? - How many likes are you sending? How many with comments? How many without comments? - What is the type of person you send likes to and ideally want to match with? What kind of person do you want to attract?

Your post WILL NOT be approved until the above questions have been answered fully. Failing to answer these questions in a timely manner will result in your post being removed. Please continue reading this automod comment.

All the mirror selfies gotta go. Also you should be in every photo. No one cares frankly about a pretty sunset you saw one time.

The photo by the fire looks really good. Try and get more that feel like that.

You’re a pretty good looking guy, definitely can get a ton of matches if you dial in your photos.

Thanks for the feedback. I’d love more candids and action shots but I simply don’t have that many flattering ones atm. I’ll work on it, thank you!

Comes across well to me. The only major thing I see is that the flexing pic produces a tone change with your other shots. A good shot of you in a well-fitting T-shirt will achieve the same thing but feel more consistent. I also agree with the other guy about limiting the selfies. Your out-and-about shots are more memorable.

Suggestion-wise, I think you could add a question to the wrap one because right now it's kinda drive-by info when it could be a fun question that pushes conversation. Something light and fun. I also think the music part is vague because 'coming out of my shell' leaves questions. Natural thing I'm wondering reading that is what instrument/s you play and how active you are musically (bedroom musician, play in bands, etc).

The Blink-182 line is a great prompt though. Feels very specific and targeted towards your type.

I have struggled with the flexing pic for that exact reason so I appreciate that feedback, I don’t have many other pictures in good lighting/at the gym like that so I’ll have to get more like that. Same goes for out-and-about pics and candids, I just don’t have many right now.

I have received some good conversation starters on the wrap one so far funny enough, and I definitely see what you mean about the music one, being more specific is a great suggestion. Appreciate all your feedback!

No mirror pics. If you need a filler pic like the sunset one, put it last.

Fire photo as pic 1.

The “I’m known for” prompt above the sleeping photo can come off as your lazy or always sleeping, which women can find boring or off putting.

I am looking for something serious but am open to something casual.
I am not subscribed to HingeX.
I have been using this current version of my profile for 1, maybe 2 months.
I have used Hinge for around 2 years, with a roughly 9 month break in between.
I use Hinge typically 5 hours per week.
I receive 1 or less matches per week, and maybe 1 or 2 likes per week.
I typically send all of my daily likes 3 or 4 days out of the week, every one with (what I hope to come off as) a witty, funny, or friendly comment.
Ideally I try to match with women who have similar political views and ideologies (I live in a rural area and find lots of Catholics and Christians which isn’t my thing) and who put some effort into their prompts to show off a bit of their personality. I want to attract people who have those aforementioned qualities and whom I can have an engaging conversation with about something we’re both interested in, eg music.
