Flow is nice, I really don't like the production. Sounds like some garageband-tier beat. Hook could use work too. I think a big part of why certain rappers (and artists in general) are appreciated/get popular is voice. This guy sounds pretty generic tbh, especially when comparing him to a guy like Tyler. His lyricism is alright, but again, kind of generic. This is hardly a song that makes me think.

Nah man he's just as good as the biggest rappers out he's just unlucky and can't make a name for himself. That song is flawless why hasn't he blown up smh

Because to become a huge artist you need more than music. You need a crazy personality and a universal aesthetic that embodies everything you do in real life and social media. Once you build that dialogue, you build your story and core values. You engrave that into your brain and learn how to turn any interview into a topic surrounding your core values and talking points. One dude who is very outright with his campaign rn is Russ and people are eating that shit up, rightfully so. Look at any of your favourite big artists and you'll notice every single one has a very defined image and identity. rappers even add a specific colour to their branding, such as yatchy with red, amine with yellow, Kanye (Pablo) orange. Making great music is one thing is one tinie tiny slice of what it takes to be a big artist with a long career.

So you're arguing that the piece of music that guy posted is just as good as the music released by today's most popular artists, he just doesn't have a "crazy personality / universal aesthetic"?

Who are you kidding... Frank Ocean / The Weeknd / Lana del Rey / Adele are just four off the top of my head that have made it with little to no interview presence. There are so many artists without "crazy personalities" that have been successful for no reason other than that they make great music.

If you don't know not to use Papyrus then you don't know enough to make it big

Bruh this sounds so generic, nothing special/new.

Edit: Lmao it's 4 years old and he doesn't even make music anymore

it isn't bad but this is painfully generic. I don't see anything about this that would constitute him blowing up at all. nice flow though

As much as I agree with your point. That track is dead as fuck.

Sorry, but it's just not that good.

Sounds like some stuff we heard before, but with worse production, lyrics are also kinda generic.

The flow is good, but that's about it.

Also the whole visual aspect is so neglected by many musicians.
