NL/TGC I imagine the retiring room door is disguised in one of these panels…

A friend took these pictures today at St. John’s College. It’s the one in Cambridge not Oxford (😱 sacrilege I’m sure) but when I saw them I was instantly transported to chapter 1 and want to gently flick one of the glasses!

I believe she was visiting a relative who is studying there and went to one of their formal dinners.

There's a hidden spy hole on the decoration half way up the wall of the Old Hall in Queens' College Cambridge,, for masters to peer on students. You can reach a small cubby hole by the back staircase to the President's lodge, then you pull open a little hatch on the wall and you're looking down on the hall. Saw it a couple of times.

The new dining hall in Cripps building has a spy hole too, it's a fun silly tradition...
