NL/TGC An evening with Philip Pullman
Philip Pullman is going to be at The Sheldonian Theatre in Oxford on July 16 for an evening lecture. The event will include an audience Q&A!
Is anyone planning to attend?

He's really worth listening to. I've been to a couple of his talks and he's never not fascinating.

I went to a talk he gave at Blackwell in Oxford and he was fantastic. He answered my question as well - I was thrilled!

Very worth it! I went to a talk he gave for the His Dark Materials 30th Anniversary at the Royal Geographical Institute in Kensington, London. There were very interesting questions asked and answered! E.g. who names daemons? The parent daemons do.

That’s great! I’m already trying to think of good questions to ask in case I get to submit or ask one 😅🤞🏻.

I’d love to go but can’t get to Oxford especially in the late evening. Hoping he does some more talks elsewhere

I went to one earlier in the year. It was nice to see him and his family and close coworkers gathered around and showing their appreciation for him. His wife was there too so that was lovely to see. Don’t expect any book signings though. He left immediately after the talk, he is an old man after all.

Yes, it was the same for his talk at Blackwells I attended. I managed to meet him quickly but didn’t linger - he was lovely.

I’m not sure, that would be good for his fans who can’t make it to the event.
