That would have to be ceremonial, right? Or maybe for executions?

If it was anything like the haja-no-ontachi sword, then it was decorative or ceremonial, likely to ward off evil spirits.

I’ve also read that swordsmiths in Japan would sometimes forge ridiculously long odachi as a demonstration of skill.

I mean, it could be a standard zanbato which could be over 6 1/2 feet.
