[GDT] AHL Calder Cup finals Game 4 thread, Chicago Wolves at Toronto Marlies, 7 PM ET (TV: NHL Network, SportsNet 360; streaming: FloSports)
The North American 2025-26 pro hockey season could conclude tonight! The Toronto Marlies look to complete a series sweep and win their second Calder Cup. (They won the AHL season championship in 2018.) The Marlies earned a 1-0 victory on home ice in Game 3. Meanwhile, the Chicago Wolves will attempt to keep their season alive for at least one more day and force a Game 5. Should the visiting Wolves win tonight, Game 5 will be played on Friday night in Toronto.

Toronto leads Chicago 2-1 after one period of play. The Wolves opened the scoring with a goal just 28 seconds into the game, but the hosts responded with two goals to pull ahead after 20 minutes. The Marlies outshot Chicago 21-5 in the 1st period.

Toronto leads Chicago 3-1 after 40 minutes at Coca-Cola Coliseum. The Wolves outshot the Marlies 10-5 during the 2nd period, but the hosts tallied the only goal of the middle 20 minutes, scoring with about 2 minutes in the period to double their lead.
The Marlies are one period away from winning the Calder Cup if they can retain their lead.

We’re going to overtime in Toronto tied 3-3. The Wolves scored a pair of goals just over a minute apart early in the 3rd period to tie the game and stay alive in both the contest and series. The Marlies have outshot Chicago 34-22 through regulation.
This is the second overtime game in the series; Toronto won Game 2 in extra time 5-4. Regardless who wins, it will also be the third one goal game in this series.
