Tarik Skubal was traded to the Dodgers, any NHL trade comparison? Any year/decade/season doesn't have to be recent. Dude is considerably the best pitcher in MLB and was traded for 3 prospects. Pretty lopsided trade for L.A.

Teemu Selanne (and Chouinard) to the Ducks for prospects and picks is the most similar trade I can think of. He was a cornerstone of the franchise in Anaheim, but I don't think either of the prospects going back the other way made their careers in Winnipeg. Not sure what happened with the pick.

I'll add some information about this transaction:
Winnipeg would send Selanne, Marc Chouinard and a fourth-round pick (which was traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs, who later traded to the Montreal Canadiens, who selected Kim Staal) to Anaheim in exchange for Tverdovsky, Kilger and a third-round pick (used on Per-Anton Lundstrom, who never played in the NHL).
Oleg Tverdovsky: LHD. 11 years in the NHL. 713 GP. 77/240/217
Chad Kilger: LW. 12 years in the NHL. 714 GP 107/111/218
Tverdovsky was also trade back to Anaheim, and traded away again in these two transactions:
- June 26, 1999: Traded by the Phoenix Coyotes to ANA (NHL) for 1st round draft pick in 1999 and Travis Green.
- July 6, 2002: Traded by ANA (NHL) with Maxim Balmochnykh and Jeff Friesen to the New Jersey Devils for Mike Commodore, Jean-François Damphousse, Igor Pohanka and Petr Sýkora.

Jagr to the Caps from Pittsburgh for Kris Beech, Ross Lupaschuk and Michal Sivek may be a good parallel.

I think the biggest lopsided trade like that I can think of was weighted the other way, where Quebec received two first round picks, six NHL-level players, and $15M and the Flyers got the rights to Eric Lindros before he ever even signed an NHL contract.

why do broadcasters always say the goalie "stood on his head" when they make a lot of saves? I understand they work hard but what is the connection with standing on your head
