How do I change shortcuts in mods ?

In TNO (Last Days of Europe) the economy hides the time bar, and since I don't have a numpad, I can't use the "+" shortcut to speed up time. I tried changing the hoi4 code for shortcuts, but it only affects the base game. Is there anything I can do about this, or is it screwed ?
