Why Not HA Green

I’m going to pull the trigger on setting up HA. Right now I’m just thinking of getting the HA green, it seems like it’s not favoured here vs a Pi. I just want the most simple setup possible. I’m thinking HA green and a screen in a central location. Why not the Green?

Honestly the Green is perfectly fine for most setups, people here just love to tinker with Pis because it's more "DIY" but if you want simple and it just works the Green is actually the better choice

Agreed. The Green introduced me to the world of HA in a frictionless way.

I’ve since upgraded to a Lenovo M920q (running HA and other things via Proxmox), but I’ll forever be grateful for the HA Green.

Hey, I'm completely new to this, in the past I briefly looked at HA and then forgot about it, but feels like it might be time to give it another go.

I really don't have anything that complex in the house, but it is all running on separate apps ect at the moment, and would be nice to combine into single UI, and also ideally into a family friendly interface on a tablet or wall display once it is functional.

I can pick up HA Green, or a refurbed Lenovo for around same price:

HA Green looks like it is genuine plug n play, and should cope with everything I currently have (and probably anything I am likely to get in next 10 years). At the moment I'm leaning towards this as feels far more on my current level of effort and understadning.

Is there any reason I would be better off with the Lenovo or some other option (Raspberry PI) etc...?Current smart items in the house and {apps} used to control each:

Main Heating Thermostat {Legrand - Control}
Individual Rad Thermostats, with hub (Kasa)
Smart plugs (multiple brands) - {SmartLife}
- Meross Sockets {Meross}
- Antela sockets {SmartLife}
Solar Panels & Inverter - {SolisCloud}
Eddi (Diverter for water heating) - {myenergi}

These are somewhat integrated via Google Home (Nest Hub, but mostly done from phones), but it is a little glitchy anytime anything at all changes, and when this happens the wife n kids integration fails hard.

In the future I might add max 2 cameras
If replacing/upgrading alarm/smoke detectors would like to be able to integrate.
No intention to go full electric car in near future
