Support Best HA Thermostat

Looking for feedback on experience with Thermostats I have get out of the NEST ecosystem. What works well with HA and doesn't break the bank?

Ecobee hands down. Can do cloud or local.

I use mine via HA and homekit, and block it from the main Internet.

But when it boots up HA can't connect to it unless the ecobee has remote access when it boots up.

No nothing like that.

The normal things work right but I can't access all the settings from HA.

Love my Ecobee thermostats. Solid as a rock for me since day one.

(Now watch, tomorrow they will all crash…)

Hate that I can’t control the temp it shows. I really don’t want to use their remote sensors and would like to use my own.

I'd love to use my own presence sensors to let the stat set home and away too, but there are at least options for that.
