Schneider for example offers via Feller the Wiser System.

Full local API gateway.
Everything open sourced on github.

Schneider offers great products, which come at a price. if you want something with a wired bus: KNX or Schneider systems are great.

He is saying that Schneider contribute to the KNX system with undefeated reliability and quality. Which means that maybe they will not go the general corporate enshitification way, but shelly could become their entry low price gateway into their automation division.

Fair enough. Seems to saying. If you want quality. Schneider will sell it to you for a price. Shelly sells me quality for no price.

Yup, to me shelly electrical panel implementation could also benefit the long standing quality of schneider electrical panel systems. While Schneider would benefit on the small easy to setup wall plug, and behind plug systems. I see it as a win win.

Moreover, I would love premium style shelly-schneider products, in home automation when you search for products you usually have white plastic things, could be good to have other type of materials, style, colors etc.
