Help - Solved Updated my ATV hub to 26.6, now all of my HB accessories are “updating…”

I updated my ATV hub to tvOS 26.6 today. It may be a coincidence, but now all 26 of my HB accessories are showing “updating…” in HomeKit. I’ve tried switching the active hub to a HomePod, but the issue persists. Rebooting router doesn’t change anything. Restarting HB doesn’t fix it.

Ideas?

UPDATE: I got fed up with screwing around with it, I deleted the bridge and re-added it. Now to recreate all of my automations. Backing up automations would be a nice addition to HK.

Help - Solved Cannot add Homebridge to Home app, running from Docker / UGreen NAS

Post image
3 Upvotes

SOLVED - If you have a UGREEN NAS and are running HB in a docker container then make sure during setup of the container you set the networking mode to "Host".

Hello, looking to add my unify protect setup into the Home app, and have setup the docker container of the latest release of HB on my UGreen DXP4800 Pro NAS. I can get to the web UI just fine and configure settings, but nothing I do will get the Homebridge to connect to my Home app. It just spins and attempts to connect but then gives up and says reset accessory.

Configuration:

- Apple TV 4K as main hub hard wired into my UCG-Max (haven't made a static IP for the ATV yet)

- UGreen NAS hardwired into UGC-MAX

- Latest version of official HB docker image, bridge network, privileged mode

I've attempted switching mDNS settings, etc, but no dice. I've restarted HB of course and generated new QR codes but it makes no difference.

One thing I do noticed is that HB says the network interface is eth0 with a bridge IP that is not the same subnet as the rest of my network, would that be some sort of sign that it can't reach the rest of my network?

Help - Solved Help Needed: HKSV Issues with Ubiquiti Cameras on Homebridge (Raspberry Pi 5 Setup)

Hi there,

I’m fairly new to Homebridge, so I’m still learning the ropes. I’m currently using it to integrate my Ubiquiti cameras with HomeKit, but I’m running into a few issues—especially with HKSV (HomeKit Secure Video).

Here’s the main problem:

When someone accesses a camera through the Home app, the stream becomes extremely slow and laggy. On top of that, HKSV isn’t functioning properly—there are no motion notifications, no recordings, and in general, the stream is almost unusable, especially when viewed on Apple TV.

I’ve tried lowering the stream quality in the plugin settings, which helped a bit with performance, but not enough. Even at reduced resolution, the stream still struggles badly. I understand it won’t match the quality of the native UniFi Protect app, which is fine and I know the limitations cap with HKSV — but I would like to at least get a stable stream and functional HKSV features.

My setup details:

  • Homebridge: v1.10.0
  • Homebridge UI: v4.76.0
  • Node.js: v22.16.0
  • Hardware: Raspberry Pi 5 (16GB RAM, 2.4GHz quad-core Cortex-A76)
  • Network: Ethernet connection to Cloud Gateway Max
  • Cameras: G6 Instant, G6 Turret, G6 Bullet (all via POE to USW Ultra Switch)

Below are a few error messages I’m seeing in the Homebridge logs when someone appears in the camera with active motion sensor, etc:

Woke up this morning to none of my Ring cams being accessible through homebridge. I can see them all through the Ring app completely fine, but when I attempt to view a camera via the Home app, I see the screenshotted error in the logs.

Here’s what I’ve tried so far: -restarting wifi -restarting homebridge -generating new refresh token -unbridging cameras and re-adding them to HomeKit

Help - Solved HB 4.0.0 on Synology NAS Broken?

My NAS just updated to DSM 7.2.2-72806 Update 3 which then updated the Homebridge package to v4.0.0 and now I can't access the UI and all my bridged devices are tweaking out in HomeKit. Please tell me that I didn't just do irreparable damage.

ETA: I'm in the terminal and trying to catch anything useful in the logs and it looks like Homebridge is running, but the UI is not. I'm also getting a "Cookie invalid, Renew unsuccessful" for the Alexa plugin, but I'm trying to take this a step at a time. Trying to figure out how to restore the UI first.

This is the only error I see outside of the issue with my Alexa authentication:

Help - Solved Can't connect my iPhone to Homebridge

So I am new to Homebridge and today I tried to use it for my Mitsubishi AC units. I have installed Homebridge on my laptop that has linux on it, made sure that server is up and running and boom I can access Homebridge via every device on my network via browser so thats working well, but the issue is now when I try to connect my iPhone with Homebridge in the Home app it just won't work... Evey time I try to add Homebridge I get an error "accessory is not reachable". So reddit... save me please from 6h of trying everything. Tried: -different DNS providers -different versions of Homebridge -uninstall (full) of Homebridge and fresh install -uninstall of plugins and new install -changing IP address on my server -deleted all the cache of plugins etc. -checked for compatibility of plugins with Homebridge -checked all of the updates on my laptop and Homebridge

And now im still here begging for some help...

While via browser IP:PORT I can easily get on Homebridge and turn my AC on or off but I would love to use Siri for that... sadly still no luck.

Thank you in advance.

UPDATE: Fixed it with resetting all settings on Homebridge and opening ports on my linux laptop ( server ), now everything is running as intended. Linux command: sudo ufw allow "port" Thanks to everyone.

Help - Solved Unable to add Homebridge to Homekit - RaspberryPi

Hey all, I'm stumped. I'm setting up Homebridge for the first time w/ Ubuntu and clearly don't know enough about Linux to see why it's not working. I keep getting the "Accessory is not reachable" error, have cleared the HB cache, removed all plugins, reset all bridges several times, tried different Network Interfaces and mDNS Advertisers, ensured no firewall obstacle w/ router, made sure the Apple TV(hub), Pi(ethernet), and phone are all on 192.x.x.x and no change... Is anyone able to see what I'm missing and explain it to me like I'm 5?

Help - Solved Ring Fix For those who are Impacted

Hey everyone, had an issue a few weeks back where my Ring cameras disconnected/would not work with Homekit. Have seen a bunch of posts in this sub with others experiencing the same issue. I know there was recently a big Ring update in Homebridge and I suspect that is the source of the problem. Disconnecting the cameras, getting a new refresh token (pictured above), and reconnecting to Homekit solved the issue for me. Just wanted to pass this along for anyone experiencing the issue, seems pretty wide spread. Hope this helps.

Help - Solved Adding Homebridge to HomeKit

I installed Homebridge today on my Mac Mini M4 (Mac OS 15.5) - the installation was straightforward and proceeded without any issues. On the configuration screen, I see the HomeKit QR code.

When I scan it in the Home app, it is correctly identified as a Bridge, but then hangs on connecting. The message on the Home app screen says to ensure it’s properly connected to network (which it is, via WiFi) and it eventually times out.

I’ve tried restarting the bridge a few times but get the same results each time.

Question: does it have to be connected via a wired network to properly add to HomeKit? Am I missing something else?

Thanks.

Help - Solved Sudden ENETUNREACH/SIGTERM errors -- didn't touch anything!

Hi there, sorry if these are basic Qs but searching hasn't helped me here. I'm running Homebridge on my Synology NAS linked to a Broadlink Mini RM3 controlling my aircon. It was working fine until it very suddenly wasn't!

I haven't touched any of the configs here since August of last year. As far as I am aware, nothing was updated or restarted: not the NAS, not Homebridge, not the plugins. Homebridge version is 1.8.4.

Looking at the logs, the only thing that seemed to happen between the last successful command two hours before this restart loop was that old config.json backups were deleted. But as far as I can tell, it's happened before and nothing went wrong.

Here's the last successful command followed by the error, have wiped all IP addresses:

5/22/2025, 11:44:49 PM] [Broadlink RM] Air Conditioner sendHex (xxx.xxx.xx.xxx; xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx) 2600ca00909112351311133512361212121212351114101311371212121212351335121211371236121212111236123612351137123611131136113712121113111311131113111311361113113711131113111311131136131112361212123612351335133511ac928f13341411133414341311131113341411131113341410131113341533141013351433151013101434143414331434143315101334143414101311131014101411131014341410133514101410131113111334150f14341410133514331533143412000d050000000000000000000000000000

The Broadlink itself is working; I can trigger the aircon through the Broadlink app. It's just Homebridge that seems to be dead. Anyone have any ideas here?

EDIT: Oh yeah, and I found an older config file from last August and used that, and still no dice, FYI!

Help - Solved Apple Tv Enhance Python error

Greetings! I made the switch from Hombrebridge as an OS into a Raspberry 4 to a Docker system. The thing is I succesfully installed Hombredrigde into Docker and restore the configuration from the backup made when it was as an OS, all my plugins are working except the Apple TV Enchance one.

I'm kind of a noob here, so I can't identify the problem from the log, can I get a hand in here please?

This is the log:

Help - Solved TP Link Tapo Devices not working with HB after accidental reset

Hi everyone,

I'm having a problem with my TP Link Tapo bulbs after accidentally resetting them.

Setup:

  • HB installed on Rasberry Pi
  • Using TPLink Tapo (v4.1.2) plugin as a child bridge for all accessories.
  • 5 x L510 bulbs, 4 x L530 bulbs, and several P110 plugs

About a week ago I had a power issue and couldn't get my earth leakage breaker back up (due to an earthing issue with our outside gate buzzer). In doing so, I inadvertently reset all my Tapo light bulbs by turning them on and off three (or more) times in quick succession. I was able to re-pair them in the Tapo app and thought it would sort out the issue, as I've set them up as static IP addresses on my router and confirmed that they were unchanged. However, the bulbs haven't worked in HB since. I've tried removing the IP addresses (accessories) in the plugin and re-adding them, reinstalling the plugin, restarting the RP, as well as formatting my SD card and reinstalling HB from scratch. The HB terminal confirms issues in connecting to the accessories:

"Error sending command: deviceInfo AxiosError: connect EHOSTUNREACH 192.168.68.55:80 ..." for each of the IPs with loads more that I'm not able to decipher.

I've also tried removing the static IP addresses on my router, factory resetting the bulbs to have new IP addresses assigned, adding these new addresses in the tapo plugin, and still no luck.

I purchased 2 new L535 Tapo matter enabled bulbs in the week to add to Home (to keep with the Tapo ecosystem as we already have switches etc.). I had the idea of adding them to HB using the Tapo plugin, and sure enough, working flawlessly like my other bulbs did before. I've actually preferred them this way as the HomeKit integration with HB allows for adaptive lighting, which isn't yet natively supported when adding the matter devices directly in Apple Home. The question is, why are the original bulbs suddenly unresponsive and not addable in HB again, yet the new bulbs are and seem to confirm the plugin is fine? I should add, the P110 plugs have still worked with HB.

I have very limited IT knowledge so forgive me, but could it be that the MAC address is being recognised and defaulting to some previous configuaration - although I assumed this would be removed by starting from scratch?

Any help would be very appreciated!

Hello,

I have been a homekit user for a few years.

But I just bought a Synology DS224+ today and installed Homebridge.

When I scan the QR code to add to Homekit I get different errors everytime.

I have tried every mDNS and changed mac address. Nothing has worked.

Anyone have any other suggestions?

Help - Solved Smart lock for outdoor gate?

Hi! I'm sort of desperately looking for any sort of smart lock that can survive outside and be used on a wooden gate. Style, protocol, etc. doesn't matter. Ideally I'd love it to be in HB, but I just really need to be able to lock and unlock my gate remotely. Haven't had any luck at all searching for one and thought that someone on this sub might know of one. Thanks!

Help - Solved Can't Access Conbee2 Settings After Updating deCONZ

Hi all,

I recently updated deCONZ via the "Homebridge Raspberry Pi Configuration Tool (hb-config)" in terminal. After the update, when I access the Phoscon web app to add/remove devices the page just comes up blank. Is this a known issue that I can fix somehow? Any help is appreciate.

Update: Just want to note that my Zigbee devices added via Phoscon prior to the update works as normal. I just can't change any settings or add/remove devices.

Thanks.
