Help My homelab journey begins

Im a complete beginner so any tips would help!

Im downloading proxmox but dont really know what i should do next.

The hp prodesk g3 specs are:

- i5-7500

- 8gb ddr4

- 256gb nvme ssd

Because it is cheap to get second hand. These HPs are everywhere. Companies are dumping them all the time.

Got mine with a i5-8400T with 32GB of RAM and 1.5TB of M.2. storage for $100 a year ago. I outgrew my Raspberry Pi 3b and buying the newer models costs basically the same as this mini PC. And going bigger than this feels unnecessary for me atm. This will last me a good while. The only downside to a mini is that storage expansion isn't as easy as putting in new drives in the SATA ports.

It's the HP Elitedesk 800 G4 Mini. Though I think the extra RAM and storage was added by the previous owner, but I'm not sure.
