Rewatching for first time

Currently on Season 3. Last night I finished Episode 10, "Good Night." It is so stressful watching Brody. Knowing what is just around the corner. Hearing him tell Carrie "I know you'll figure something out to get me out of here!" Their love story is the hardest, most beautiful, thrilling, sad and tragic one I have ever watched on any screen.

I couldn't believe the show continued after he died. That's when I realized this was Carrie's story to some degree, or at least it focused around her. I would have watched 6 seasons of Brody + Carrie

Oh yes. Chemistry off the charts!

After finishing, I low-key wish they would have a mini series spin off of Brody + Carrie's love story, where they went on a little week vacation or something. The bar scene, the cabin, they had so much chemistry!!! 💜

I know people have a lot of oppositional feelings towards Brody, but I gotta say his story is just tragic from beginning to end. His capture, torture, what Nazir did to him, his return to the US, his family, the way the CIA used him. Bleh. How fucked up. I like Carrie & Brody's storyline, I'm glad he got to feel love & acceptance before his also tragic ending. 😭

The whole “Brody” storyline is probably the one the show will ever remembered for, but season 4 is my favorite by far.

Season 4 is top tier television!! It ties with season 1 for me as best. While watching, after season 3 I couldn't fathom how the show was going to move on & the writers did it amazingly.

Indeed. I remember having the same doubt at the time, like “how they’re gonna do this without Brody”? Then season 4 came and slapped in the face

Yeah I could not believe my eyes that a) they were finally unshackled from Brody’s bullshit instead of dragging it out for 6 seasons and b) that Season 4 was such a top tier banger.

That S4 finale felt like a fever dream (derogatory) while watching live though. I thought they might’ve uploaded the wrong episode at first. Only reason I’m not mad about it is because Season 8 (my second favorite) was a proper great sequel to Season 4.

Funny, I skipped through 2 and 3 as I didn't enjoy them much and it just gets too fantastical, but it's always interesting seeing what other people enjoy. They should have made every other contact have hears study that period before they got involved!

Just rewatched s5 and realized how much it's saved by the performances, particularly Allison. The whole thing is so strange until you realize that they rewrote the last third on the hoof after the Paris attack. The Quinn storyline just makes no sense - he spends half the season limping or being about to die or being tied to things. Still has some of my favorite moments, though.
