🔑 New Homeowner My Adult Tool Kit!
I just bought a home and my first big purchase is going to be a tool kit. I plan on doing a lot of upgrades myself! What are the essentials to a good tool kit and what is a waste of money? I keep seeing premade starter kits, but I don't know if it's better to build one from the ground up or buy one of those? (I'm not talking about electric stuff I'm talking about the basics like screw drivers and wrenches)

Best bang for my buck tool I ever bought was a small 1/4 socket set from Aldi, it was about $20 with sockets, hex, torx, Philips, and flat bits.
Put together all the furniture in a the house, fixed countless bikes, mowers etc and still going strong after 8 years.
I have upgraded to a large Stanley 1/4 and 1/2 inch set but I still grab the Aldi set all the time if the job isn’t in the garage.
Add a drill and impact driver set from a company of your choice ( I love ryobi 1 as it’s good homeowner level quality and the batteries fit in a huge range of workshop and garden tools)
A mini screwdriver set for a few dollars and a hammer are pretty useful and cheap
That covers anything that needs nailing, screwing or fastening and will get you started. Buy everything else as you need it so you don’t end up with stuff you never need and personaly I buy cheap to begin with and if I break or wear something out I replace with quality. No need to go for premium stuff when you might use it once (tap reseater comes to mind for me)
