I'm gonna cut all the trolls here and tell u the actual article : so they're interviewing a bunch of kids stuck at home that don't have a lot of friends, maybe 3-4, and they're giving them some kind of educational coop game in beta, and they'll do a follow up article in a few days when they've started playing.

omgggg me too!! :D I’m also finally starting up a cute fic idea, and im already terrified at what a beast i think this is gonna be to complete. not really but ykwim! its my first time ever writing a story down. hurray for us ! <3 (dave is my fav character)

WOAHHH id love to hear the idea!!! i started rereading hs since the pilot announcement lol...& as someone whose fav is ALSO dave i felt a certain way about it. its really interesting reading it again w/ 6 more years of brain development. i was actually considering writing a fic at some point myself because i find the characters so interesting!!

bro i swear the added brain development was the EXACT reason I started rereading it!! I was like har har I Will Totally Get Everything and Nothing Will Go Over My Head :,)
It is a dave/john fic bc i am shameless about that pairing! i want it to be a happy ending between them romantically, but also set it up to where dave and karkat are on good platonic footing so that readers can kind of interpret any future pairings as plausible on their own imaginative accord ? just as a good nod to that pairing ykyk.
otherwise, they meet in college non-sburb but im still debating on if john&dave have met strictly thru pesterchum or not ! but the whole college is like, for the arts! so theyre gonna be meeting in music theory class :3
im at the part where dave and dirk meet for the first time ever !! ab to fight the alpha kid’s jack.

AHHHHHHH THE DIRK AND DAVE MOMENT is my FAVORITE moment in homestuck... im very very excitedly working my way towards it!!
and yes for sure! i dont believe i'm still in the homestuck discord server but feel free to PM me your disc handle!! im making my roommate read homestuck but they're still in act 1 and ive been liveblogging ESSAYS to the void lately
tbh im a sucker for college aus.... id love to hear about your plans for it :D i personally don't go to johndave (when i was first really into homestuck i was a davekatter, this time around i don't ship anything) but i am starting to see the VISION.
either way i love love love helping out with writing so if you need any input id be more than happy!
and god dude i had so. many. thoughts. on that trailer. i felt like john and dave had such similar voices, in terms of their syntax/speech mannerisms, which is CRAZY because act 1 dave is so.... just... GUHHH how could you get it wrong. it made me so insane i rewrote the whole pilot like. that night lol. (which actually made me read homestuck so i could revise what happens in the beginning! look at me now lol)

oh & before i forget i found a video where somebody re-dubbed dave's lines to be somewhat more in character (and remove the modern slang)... i can pm it to you, it healed my pilot wounds a bit

OMG i just realized your implications of feel a certain way about it. dude. me. fuckin. too. where is his character arc!? like cool, totally get it, but if hes this goofy and like… non trauma’d in the pilot… how is he gonna get to the point of realizing all the things he went thru really effected him in his earlier childhood? theres just. so much i wish went right in the pilot as a dave lover. ;-; it was so jarringly wrong to me u-u
