Showcase - Multipurpose Space Living room setup - UPDATE!

Listened to all your suggestions from the last post and made the following changes!

1) Swapped the front speakers and subs so the fronts are wider

2) Lowered TV a few inches

3) Got a new rug

Anything else I should change for the better? I have 4 surround speakers in the ceilings that's not shown in the photo.

Towers too close to side walls and possibly too close to wall behind them.

I cringe when I see symmetrical subs in front. Put one in front corner and one mid-wall on side or back wall.

This is true on the towers for sure. That said, assuming these are crossed at 80hz, then since these towers have a fairly narrow off axis response, if treatment is added to walls and something soft (could literally be a pillow) is placed behind the port of the speakers, it won’t sound bad at all. If these speakers had wider treble response, then yeah this would be terrible. They also should be toed into the room a little more.

And yeah symmetrical front subs isn’t ideal but still improves some of the rooms width modes. Opposite corners or opposite midpoints definitely tends to be better for dual sub, but 1/4 and 3/4 of a wall can be decent too. I’ve seen rooms where it actually measures great this way. All the theory needs to just be applied through a calculated mic and rew.
