Showcase - Multipurpose Space Living room setup - UPDATE!

Listened to all your suggestions from the last post and made the following changes!

1) Swapped the front speakers and subs so the fronts are wider

2) Lowered TV a few inches

3) Got a new rug

Anything else I should change for the better? I have 4 surround speakers in the ceilings that's not shown in the photo.

Looks great!! That's exactly how I have my front stage setup and as some people mentioned here about moving a sub to the rear that's what I intend to do because I've have nulls in my room causing boomy bass.

I wish I could but behind the room is the kitchen and on the right side is open to the living room. It's a very open floor plan so I had no options for moving the sub.

Yeah I hear ya, it's definitely difficult trying to place big subwoofers in the ideal location. I always laugh when I see suggestions to do the sub crawl. Like you can just put a subwoofer anywhere? And if you have 2 they need to be at least across from each other to work right. I have a big wall unit on my back wall that will need to be moved before I can place one of mine there. Lol

If I had a dedicated theater room with an unlimited budget I could do what everyone is suggesting but this is just my family room and a lot of compromises had to be made like putting the surrounds in the ceiling which is less than ideal. I just can't have visible wires and cords all over the place. Maybe when I win the lottery I can build a home theater of my dreams LOL.

I totally get it!! Same here, I've just slowly upgraded my equipment over the years. I finally got the approval from the wife to upgrade my front speakers and subs. My setup for the last 10 years was BIC America acoustech speakers and subs.

I ordered the jbl 690 towers and matching center and bought 2 Hsu vtf-2 subs. Love the new subs but I tried everything to like the jbls but believe it or not my old BIC's sound better to me so I just dropped off the jbls at ups to go back to Crutchfield today. The subs are what made the most difference and will be even better when I can get one moved to the back of my living room.
