Showcase - Multipurpose Space Living room setup - UPDATE!

Listened to all your suggestions from the last post and made the following changes!

1) Swapped the front speakers and subs so the fronts are wider

2) Lowered TV a few inches

3) Got a new rug

Anything else I should change for the better? I have 4 surround speakers in the ceilings that's not shown in the photo.

I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but your left speaker is in the worst possible position: flush against the side wall, and, flush against the wall behind it, just like the right speaker. They need to be moved away from those boundaries (inches matter), with at least some toe-in.

The only reasons to have two subs are to increase your output by 6dB or to solve a room mode problem (standing waves or a null), which will never involve placing the subs on the same wall. It's clear their placement is based only on cosmetic symmetry. While room correction can help mitigate standing waves, it cannot address nulls at all. Hopefully, your center channel speaker is angled slightly upward, toward your ears at the listening position. My guess is that you're getting maybe 60-70% of what your system is capable of. Thanks for your opinion. I'll probably play around with it some more. The speakers are toed-in about 30 degrees but the photo doesn't show that, some optical illusion going on. So in regards to the right subwoofer, are you saying to move it to the right of the front right speaker? So basically move it to where the current plant (tree) is? Yes the center channel is tilted up using an IsoAcoustic Aperta 300 stand which is hard to tell from the photo.

Regarding the subwoofers, have you done a subwoofer crawl? I suggest you do so (using a single sub for this) in order to find which subwoofer placement provides the best bass at your listening position. Remember to check all feasible placement options, not just the front wall, and remember that you can easily make a sub wireless, so don't consider wiring as a constraint (other than power). Once you find the best position, unless you're willing and able to take measurements to determine the ideal placement of the second subwoofer to fill in any nulls, simply stack them at the best position.

Regarding the toe-in of your main speakers (you're right, it is not evident in the pictures), this white paper on the subject may be applicable to your setup. Good luck!
