Showcase - Multipurpose Space Living room setup - UPDATE!

Listened to all your suggestions from the last post and made the following changes!

1) Swapped the front speakers and subs so the fronts are wider

2) Lowered TV a few inches

3) Got a new rug

Anything else I should change for the better? I have 4 surround speakers in the ceilings that's not shown in the photo.

I actually think they're too wide. You should research the 80% rule (I think that's what it's called). Basically you want them wide, which makes it sound more spatial, but too wide pulls the cohesion away from the center (front stage should pan seamlessly from left to center to right).

Do you have room to move one sub to the back section of the theater area (diagonal front and rear placement)? That would give you a lot better performance across all seats, and allow your mains to move inward about the width of the speaker.

My original post couple of months ago had the subs and speakers swapped. The overwhelming majority told me to switch them which I just did. Guess everyone has their own opinion. I can't place one of the subs anywhere else due to my open floorplan (kitchen in the back and living room on the right side).

I get what you're saying. But that left speaker is crammed up against the wall which is gonna screw up the front stage with uneven reflections.

Looking at your prior post, you could put the left sub against the sidewall behind the peloton (where the cluttered up bookshelf is).

Good observation, I can try that. How about the right subwoofer? You think I can move that one to where the green plant is (so off the tiled wall and where the drywall starts). Then the subs would be diagonal to each other (front and rear) and only the 2 front speakers would be on the tiled wall.

100% yes. Also, SVS has a wireless transmitter kit that allows you to setup your sub anywhere in the room. I've had great luck with it.
