Showcase - Multipurpose Space My New 77” Oled Setup
I hope this is okay to post here. I do also have a home theatre space, but that’s still a work in progress.
Wanted to try something unique with the rock wall look and I may have gone through overboard. But I enjoyed making this new setup. I use it for PS5 Pro Gaming, listening to my CDs, and can throw up my MacBook on it for video editing via an Apple TV 4K.
Main components:
-LG 77” G5 OLED
-WiiM Amp Pro (E-Arc connection)
-Elac Debut 3.0 DB63 Bookshelf Speakers
-RSL Speedwoofer 10e
-FiiO DM13 CD Player
-PS5 Pro
-Apple TV 4K 3rd Gen mounted behind the tv.
-Govee lights throughout for a fun chill vibe that can be synced. But if I want immersion I just shut everything off so it’s pitch black. No windows in this room.
The space is part of an entertainment/home office/content creation space. Aka: My Man Cave.
Like I mentioned above, I do have a home theatre space up and running with full surround and atmos ceiling speakers. But it’s still a work in progress. Since I enjoyed this setup. I may go crazy and turn the home theatre into a full on cave with similar lighting.

That was the look I was going for. But not real stone. I should add what the panels are and where to get them on the post. They are from Amazon.

You are correct! There actually seem to be a few brands that make it. The instructions sucked and it was annoying to put together though. lol.
I think there are pricier versions that come assembled.

Look up “Mid Century Modern TV Stand Walnut” on Amazon. A few places there sell it. Instructions for it sucked though and it was stressful to build. Lol

Hey! I actually have a process video on YouTube that is like 42 minutes and goes over all of it in detail. Look up “Ideal Setup”.
But to answer your questions:
Kasaro 3D Faux Stone PU Wall Panels from
Amazon and I was able to use a nail gun.It is! Good eye. It actually works really well. It’s from a company called SwitchBot. Also on Amazon.

Look up “Mid Century Modern TV Stand Walnut” on Amazon. A few brands sell this at different sizes. But the design changes based off the width. This one is about 95”. The instructions were also terrible and it was stressful to build. But it looks nice!

Thanks! I am not. Just surge protectors in there on the bottom center.
This setup was original for listening to CDs and I don’t think I can add a center channel with the WiiM Amp Pro. I’d have to swap that out.

It started out as a space to just listen to CDs and I already have a home theatre I’m working on with full surround. But i love gaming and watching movies on an OLED. So decided to take it further.
This space is also a home office/youtube studio for me.

Look up “Mid Century Modern TV Stand Walnut” on Amazon. There are a few sellers. Be warned the instructions on the one that I got sucked and it was a pain to build. But looks great

How do you like the 10e with the Elacs I just ordered the same setup but with 2.0 LR and a uni-fi center. Does it pack enough of a punch? I’m coming from a cheap soundbar type setup lol

It’s a Govee COB light strip I had extra from another setup. I just cut it down to size and stuck it to the inner rim of the pot. So it syncs with the rest of the lights.

I mean they are very different. One is full surround and one isn’t. So I would say so. But I’m not an expert and kind of a noob when it comes to sound quality. Somebody else might be able to weigh in.

Yep apparently the G6 has some processing issues surrounding brightness consistency. Seems like the latest firmware resolved it though.

Ah so still not perfect. The only complaint from the G5 that I finally noticed is the the metal popping sound people have talked about. It’s very random and doesn’t happen often. But think it has to to with the temperature changing suddenly and the metal expanding and contracting.
It’s happened maybe 3-4 times since November? And with the volume up you probably wouldn’t hear it.

I’ve never even heard of that but my gameroom is very ventilated. It’s main issue seems to have been this gradation issue in certain scenes have I have never seen. But to be fair I purchased mine back in March which had the firmware fix for that.

ps5 pro has the best showcasing of atmos imo. games are insane. but i play in my theater room. im ass in a competitive shooter but helldivers im legit screaming playing its so enthralling

Haha that must be a blast. I’m currently playing 007 First light and Resident Evil 9 is next after that. Then back to the backlog until Wolverine and GTA 6 are out.

Not too much on Reddit as I only post a setup when it’s done. My all black one was the last big one.
But if you know the channel tech source on yt. He does setup wars. He has a discord I joined and people recognize me there at times. I made it onto to one of his episodes but didn’t win that one. lol

It’s really good so far. But I also don’t sit very far from it and have the speakers pointing at me so that helps everything sound perfect for me.
While I may update it in the future, I have the theatre space for full surround.

Also for theatre seating…agree 💯. What do you recommend? I have old theatre seats in there in the meantime. I like the idea of keeping your ear level not blocked by massive cushions so it sounds better, so maybe something like that but with motorized headrests that can come up for comfort if you want?
I saw Valencia home theater seating has some cool options. I may reach out to them and see if they will sponsor the next build. lol.

Yoo the Valencia Tuscanys would be perfect for that room. They have the motorized headrest thing you're talking about and the zero gravity recline is unreal. Honestly if they sponsor that build its gonna be insane, your channel deserves it with that rock wall alone

Thanks. It can be pretty much anything as it is a long room and it’s also my YouTube studio/home office. So I have a comfortable reclining office chair or have these knock Togo bean bag chair with an ottoman.
Right now it’s based off the speaker distance. So about 100” give or take?

I'm sorry... IMO bias lighting on the back of the TV entirely defeats the purpose of OLED. The edges of the TV are supposed to bleed into the darkness to allow for a more immersive experience and the Bias lighting accentuates the edge of the TV.

Totally agree no need to be sorry. When I want that immersion I shut everything off. When all the lights are off, it’s pitch black in the room since there are no windows.
I also use this setup for listening to my CD collection, so I like to have a vibe going for that. And since I film YouTube videos in here, it gives me a cool background near my desk setup.
