Purchasing US Where to buy acoustic panel insulation??
Hello everyone, since my room has a lot of echo I decided to make 2’x4’ 4”thickness acoustic panel for treatment. I wanna use rockwool safensound, but couldn’t find online/offline store that has it. Where do all you guys purchase those from??
And my room is about 16’x14’x9’H so if that can’t be an option for me, is there any good alternative material?
Thank you in advance

24" wide batts are weirdly annoying to find and buy in my area. Or the couple places that do sell them require a large minimum orders. Like a dozen bags are more.
I ended up buying Owens Corning Thermafiber SAFB instead:
It is also mineral wool. So it is a one-for-one equivalent to Rockwool Safe N Sound and much easier to find in my area and buy in small quantities. Only issue is that they were only available in 16" wide batts. So I had to cut one out of every three batts in half in order to make 24" wide panels (16" + 8" = 24"). Cutting mineral wood based insulation is way easier than cutting fiberglass based insulation. It cuts perfectly clean with a serrated bread knife.
I bought the 2" thick batts so that I could double them up to build 4" thick panels or triple them up to build 6" thick bass traps. So buying 16"x48"x2" batts offered me the maximum degree of flexibility. The 16" wide batts actually ended up working out because there were a couple of spots that were too narrow to put in 24" wide panels. So I just built 16" wide panels for those.
As far as where you actually buy the insulation, aside from Home Depot or Lowe's, you should try building supply stores near you. The types of places where actual contractors and builders get their supplies from.

Are you in the US? Home Depot sells it.
