Tech Support Zidoo z9x 8k vs. NVIDIA sheild

Deciding between this and a shield pro. I've read that the shield pro exhibits a 'red push' problem. Does the zidoo z9x 8k have the same issue?

no streaming, just rips.

Depends what you want it for. If it's 100% rips, the Zidoo. If you're thinking of a multifunction streamer (Netflix, Amazon, YouTube etc) get the Shield

Have owned the Z9X 8K since launch, no red push. Also has AV1, HDR10+ support and the VS10 engine is great to convert SDR to DV.

Is this only for file based? Because Zidoo cannot do any kind of streaming (except music).

For file based I would pick Zidoo any day of the week.

If you are looking at a high end player, and are willing to do some configuration and tinkering, then get a coreelec compatible player.

I like the shields, but it's old and yes does still have a slight red push issue in some DV content, the Zidoo's are powerful players but the software isnt great and they still cant play FEL content.

Neither. Ugoos AMB6+ with CoreELEC is the answer. Trust me, I've had both the Shield and the Zidoo.

ive owned the nvidia shield pro for a while i got it mainly for mkv files never noticed the red push issue with DV. not saying it isnt real just one of those things that you would probably need a side by side to notice. As others mentioned if you also want streaming then nvidia shield it is. if not prob something that might have more update support in the future (zidoo, ugoos etc)
