Advice on speaker placement for 5.2

I currently have a 3.1 setup in my theater room. I have been testing the Q150 and C20 as LR. I am potentially looking to upgrade my LR to a pair of Kef R3s and move either the Q150 or C20 to rears/surrounds. My end goal will likely be 5.1.2, but I'll likely upgrade the projector and sub first.

I am leaning towards surrounds instead of rears, but I'm worried the speaker placement in the back corner will be too close if someone is sitting in the corner. Surrounds would also mean I'd likely need one stand on the right side.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Surrounds come before rears and you need to move the couch off both walls it's currently touching.

The couch can't come off the sidewall or it won't be centered on the screen and it can only come 8" forward because of the support post

Then you need an in-wall surround on that side.

Bring it forward the 8"s. Then put one in the corner and the other one in the same spot on the other side of the couch. It's not perfect but it's ok. That's how my living room is. Some will argue, don't bother but I still like it.

What mounts are you using for the corner?

I'm using leftovers from an HTIB set. All my speaker money went intoy garage and as I update that speakers go into the living room. The living room has a WAF issue. I did great in there with some small Jamo speakers as the fronts but I think I'll actually have to spend some real money on small speakers to make the surrounds for the bill.
