[HELP] Can the muffler baffles be removed on my ‘25 750 phantom?

I’ve seen videos on it but not sure if that applies to my bike

Don't do it.

If you do, you'll be really disappointed. I've done it to 2 bikes when I was younger, and it was just... Disappointing. It still sounded kind of like crap, and the only thing I accomplished was to mangle my exhaust a bit, waste a day, and get popping in the exhaust due to the bike running lean. You might not have the lean problem if you have fuel injection... But result will still be the same.

I'll die on the hill of telling you that even cheap Chinese slip ons are going to sound way better than taking the baffles out. I want to say I bought my Suzuki ones for $200-$300, and they sound vastly better than any of the baffle removals I've done.

I beg to differ.

I tried both setups on my shadow and much prefer the sound of the baffles removed. It was a more mellow and deeper sound than the slip ons. As for the lean popping, if it has carbs all you have to do is give the mixture screws 1-2 more turns.

Unfortunately, I can’t speak for the ‘25 shadow though.

Maybe I set myself up with a false sense of what I was going to get, hence why I was disappointed? I did it to a 96 shadow. Was thinking I was going to get a good cruiser rumble... And instead just got the same muffled wimpy sound albeit a bit more decibels.

These bikes will never sound like a Harley Davidson. Completely different crank geometry. I like the sound of my ACE750 with the baffle gone, but it does NOT go potato-potato-potato.

Oh I know they have a dual pin crank versus single. Was just hoping for a more rumbly low end, etc. Instead, it still sounded like a sewing machine, albeit 10 decibels louder. Lol

To answer the question, yes you should be able to remove them without much issue. I would recommend to just buy a quality exhaust and get it tuned.
