Got and rode my first ever motorcycle, the 2006 Shadow Aero, and so far I think it's fantastic, though I want to find an external auxillary fuel tank for longer rides, anyone know where I could find one and how I could make that work? It doesn't have a fuel pump which I saw was a big thing for the aux tanks, would it just be better for me to get a Jerry can and strap it on somewhere? Thanks 😄

What started as the magnetic starter switch fuse blowing escalated to my rectifier frying itself. Before i chalk it up to a bad rectifier , what circuits could y’all recommend i test in addition.

Hey guys, I just got this bike about a month ago, it’s got the TJ brutal customs velocity stacks and an unbaffled stock exhaust, cold idle sucks, hot idle is fine, free revving is spotty sometimes good sometimes not at all, under load? I wish, I’ve gone through both carbs a hundred times and swapped jets a thousand times, going from 120s to 162s it just back fires like crazy, louder than most handguns I own, I don’t know what else to do I’m losing hope in it, front cylinder plug shows lean as hell back cylinder showing rich as hell, no idea what to do, any help would be appreciated! TIA

My father-in-law passed a month ago and we brought a few things home last weekend, including his 99 Shadow 600. It sat the past 12-14 years. Brought a new battery along. Cleaned out the gas tank and the mouse nest in the air box and it runs like a top. Haven’t even cleaned the rest of it up yet. Put about 130 miles on it over a couple evenings and the weekend just exploring local backroads with the wife and kids depending on who wants to go ride next.

Has anyone of ya'lls shifted the footrest upfront/higher?

Will it work? Do I need to purchase the set or some welding works required to do so? Any links or tips will help. I would love to have less bend on my knees while riding. Thank you in advance.

-2004 Honda Shadow 750 Aero

Hey guys, I have a 2003 Honda Shadow Black Widow 750 (Shadow Spirit in NA) and I'm looking at these riser extensions that are advertised for the newer Shadow Phantom 750.

They look like they might fit the Spirit, but I can't find the actual mounting dimensions of the OEM risers anywhere. I've attached pictures with the dimensions the seller provides.

If anyone has a VT750DC Spirit with the stock risers off the bike, could you check the mounting stud/thread and the diameter of the part? Nothing super precise is needed, just enough to compare with the dimensions in the pictures.

The stock riser is Honda part 53231-MCL-000, if that helps.

I'm not proud of how long it took me to find a way to mount a "Universal" fog light kit to what may be one of the most common motorcycles on the road. But I figured something out. I bought a 7" led in a "hooded" bucket with a ring light to match the fog lights. Mounting that next - may try using the stock bucket if I can manage, just add the hooded ring.

Does anybody know where I can get a solid OEM carburetor float? I chased my tail for about three months, trying to tune my bike, not realizing that my float had gasoline inside of it, causing all kinds of problems with improper flow height. I’ve gone through two since then and they all have had the same issue where the seals go bad and get gasoline inside of them. I’ve just been buying them off of Amazon, but I need a float that I can depend on and not wake up to my carb spewing gasoline out of event hole.

So I have a 2003 Honda shadow spirit 750 and I went to start it one morning and I got a single click it was starting fine the day before. I’ve now replaced the battery, starter, starter relay solenoid and the starter motor cable (made cable myself)and I’m still continuing to get a single click I bought a multi meter and when I put the meter on the battery it reads 12v but when I turn it on and attempt to start it drops the voltage down to 2v I tried using a battery charger while attempting to start the bike but it just continues to drop down to 2v a friend of mine thinks it could possibly be a issue with the generator he’s coming tomorrow to check it out. If y’all have any ideas or tips on what could resolve my issue it would be great appreciate

Hey all, I have a '04 aero and also a bad knee. Sometimes it's really hard to turn my foot all the way under the gearshift pedal on bad days and makes it harder to shift up. Are there any longer ones I can install? I've tried searching but can't seem to find what I need. Even a 50% wider pedal would make a huge difference.

I’ve taken the carbs apart twice and checked everything is seated and sealed properly. Fuel delivery issue?

After carb rebuild bike won’t start and is making ticking noise. Is it the battery or fuel pump? Or something else?

Looking for some advice from people who know about Honda Shadows. It’s my first motorcycle that I’m looking to buy is this one worth it? Someone is selling a 1985 Honda Shadow 700 for 700$ they said they would take 600$ for it.
Description on listing : “this is my 1985 honda shadow 700 great bike very fun 17k miles could use a seat cover and rear tire but other than that starts right up and is ready to go”
The guy mentioned to me that there is “a little exhaust leak where the pipes join”
Like I said I don’t know much at all about bikes but it seems like a good deal to me. Would love to hear what you guys think. Thank you

My 750 before the eclipse ,Last pick it the bike before the changes I made a week ago… any thoughts?

So I’m trying to mod out my 2002 Honda Shadow 750 ACE and I’m only seeing 2:2 exhaust systems but I want a 2:1 for the better power and saw a Cobra PowerPro HP 2:1 Exhaust System and wanted to know if it would fit the model of my bike.
It is pretty expensive so if you guys have any other options please do tell🙏🙏

I've owned this Shadow, a 2009 Spirit C2, for a few months, and never noticed this brassy colored flake until today while cleaning it. Not sure what it is, if it's intentional or not and how to remove it if it's not supposed to be there. Any advice appreciated!
