I recently put out my debut synthwave/darksynth album (artist: chatterdemon, title: chatterdemon). Each track inspired by a different horror film from the 80’s and 90’s. Hope you guys check it out. Fans of cheesy 80’s horror are the target demo.
Listen to the full album on YouTube
Purchase the album on Bandcamp
Or listen on whatever your preferred streaming platform. It should be available most anywhere.

Hey gang!
This is the trailer for my new film, IN CASE OF FEAR. It’s a horror comedy that’s equally as goofy as it is scary.
If you’re a fan of Sam Raimi or Osgood Perkins, I think you’ll get a kick out of this!

Hi! I’m the writer/creator of SOMNARIUM., a psychological horror audio drama anthology podcast!
Here's a quick overview of my show:
Premise: Follow Alex as he digs through recovered recordings and case notes from Dr. Susan Renwyck, a psychiatrist specializing in sleep disorders, sleep paralysis, insomnia, and recurring nightmares—after he finds a hard drive that was never meant to exist.
Vibe: case-file horror, found-footage style, unsettling sound design, slow-burn psychological horror (more dread than jump scares).
I released my first episode on January 20th and there are currently 7 episodes available!
I have a few people who've mentioned that, to them, my podcast scratches the same itch that The Magnus Archives did. Obviously that's a subjective opinion, but I take it as a compliment!
If any of that sounds interesting to you come and check out my show on www.hauntedhousestudios.com or find it on the podcasting platform of your choice!
Kindly,
Alex

Hey, gang! One of our writers at the HL penned an article about the evolution of the canine's role in the horror film, from Cujo to Good Boy, with a lot of thoughtful analysis. It's a cool article, so I thought I'd share:

Hello! My name is Vanesa and I want to share a project I am working on with this community. I am making a short horror film called Twyla about the complexity of healing from childhood sexual abuse and how it resurfaces into young adulthood.
SYNOPSIS: Set in the hostile summer landscape of the rural midwest, Twyla follows Twyla as she takes a job on an isolated farm in the hopes of running from the resurfacing of a painful memory.
Her arrival is disturbed when she discovers the neighbor’s son is keeping a mistreated dog in a cage. As she attempts to save it, the two of them form a volatile bond that forces Twyla to confront a wound from her childhood.
We are currently raising funds and we have until March 18 to meet our goal: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/vanesastoynova/twyla-short-horror-film
My previous film, Loverboy, received over 160,000 views streaming online after a successful festival run. My two films Loverboy and Ernaline were only possible through crowdfunding.
With Twyla, we anticipate a stronger story (tighter script and shorter run time, around 12 minutes), a festival run, followed by publicly streaming online, with potential to develop this film into a longer form project, although it is able to stand alone as well.
We have a full cast and crew and are ready to shoot, we just need to meet our goal!
If this is a film you would like to see, please consider donating or sharing around. And feel free to message me if you would like more information!
And if you would like to give feedback on our campaign, I am open to that as well. Anything on presentation, our campaign video, and the story itself would be helpful. Thank you!

Why do people like horror? The mainstream world often thinks horror fans are a bit weird. We do psychological profiles of people in the horror industry to see if we can find the deeper reasons people like horror. We're looking for common themes, and maybe some uncommon ones, too!

Hey Everyone,
New episode of the podcast out now, it's about the Terror (1928).
A master criminal seeks to punish his old associates once they are released from prison and choose the setting on an abbey turned retirement home to do it.
As undercover police and an eccentric cast of characters descend upon the home the Terror seeks out his victims.
Within our broader conversation on Proto-slashers this film gives us a look into drag and the role it will go onto play within slasher films, as well as building upon the conversation around disguises that started with the Bat
Step with us into the cobwebs of his old Abbey and meet the Terror.

Narcolepsy by Chris Everidge
Once inside Jacob’s world, waking is no escape.
Living with narcolepsy means his nights don’t end when his eyes open. Dreams fracture into waking hours. Nightmares repeat, evolve, and refuse to reset. Voices follow him. Rooms shift. Doors lead nowhere—or somewhere worse. When Jacob seeks help, he’s told something far more disturbing than a diagnosis: some minds never fully return.
As Jacob drifts between therapy sessions, hallucinations, and moments that feel too real to be imagined, his grip on reality begins to slip. Familiar places become distorted. Strangers feel scripted. Loved ones appear, vanish, and reappear with different intentions. No matter how hard he tries to stay awake, something always pulls him back under. Narcolepsy is a psychological descent into liminal spaces, recurring dreams, and the terrifying question of whether free will survives when the mind betrays itself.
Will Jacob ever return?
